On this day—the funeral of Duke Alfred Granado was held.
The people of the Dirts Kingdom mourned deeply as they sent his pure spirit to the heavens.
Afterwards, the Granado Family, that is, the ceremony for the succession of the ducal title took place. In the royal palace knights order’s fortress, in the hall of vows, Lord Cyrus stood clad in the uniform of the Dirts Kingdom knights.
As expected, knights in formal attire, swords drawn, surrounded him.
First, Lord Cyrus bowed to us, his family standing behind him, then he paid respect to the statue of the founding hero.
At the end of the scarlet carpet walked the Third Prince and kingdom knight commander, Lord Ruifeng Sandalqia Dirts, who waited.
Lord Cyrus bowed also to Lord Ruifeng, then knelt before him.
Lord Ruifeng drew his sword and lightly placed it on Lord Cyrus’s shoulder.
“Cyrus Granado. Do you swear to dedicate your body and life to the Dirts Kingdom?”
At the question, Lord Cyrus closed his eyes and bowed his head.
“I swear.”
“Understood. From this moment on, the Kingdom Knights Order shall be your comrades in arms. Together, you shall become the kingdom’s sword and shield, protecting the kingdom’s pride and its people.”
“It is a happiness beyond measure.”
When Lord Cyrus responded, the knights raised their swords in blessing.
With this, he assumed the highest noble title in the kingdom—the rank of duke—solidifying his position. This honor was not simply because he was born as Alfred’s son, but a reward for living sincerely as a man and contributing to this country. Every citizen of the Dirts Kingdom understood this.
No one raised objections to the birth of Duke Cyrus Granado.
