“Mom, Dad, Grandpa, what’s going on!” Tan Yun shouted, trembling all over.

Shen Subing, Mu Mengyi, Zhong Wu Shiyao, Xue Ziyan, Huangfu Yu, and Tuoba Yingying all looked at Feng Jingru with puzzled expressions.

Feng Jingru seemed not to hear Tan Yun's voice. With tears streaming down her face, she released Nangong Yuqin, trembling as she reached out her hands to cradle Nangong Yuqin's cheeks, crying out in pain, "Daughter, call me mother... why don’t you call me mother!"

"Qin'er, do you know? Over the years you have been gone, I don't even remember how many times I dreamed of you... wuu... I thought you would never return..."

Nangong Yuqin looked at the heartbroken middle-aged beauty, feeling lost due to her memory loss.

She had too many questions—why did Feng Jingru call her daughter? Why did Feng Jingru say she had been gone for years?

What on earth was happening? What had happened to her?

While she was confused, Tan Yun stepped forward and supported Feng Jingru, saying, "Mother, Qin'er has had her memory erased. She doesn't know what you're saying now and doesn't recognize you."

Upon hearing this, Feng Jingru cried out in despair, "Which bastard would treat my Qin'er this way!"

"Mother, please stop crying." Tan Yun looked at Feng Jingru with pity, patting her back, his eyes filled with hope as he asked, "What is going on? Qin'er is the current eldest princess of the Nangong Sacred Dynasty. Why do you call her your daughter?"

After Feng Jingru gradually stopped crying, she took Qin'er's hand and turned to Tan Yun, saying, "Come with me. Now that Qin'er has returned, there are some things I can no longer hide from you."

After speaking, Feng Jingru seemed to remember something. An unmistakable panic flashed in her eyes as she looked at everyone in the Tan Residence and ordered, "No one is allowed to speak of Miss Qin'er returning. Otherwise, I will beat them to death!"

"Understood, ma'am!" Everyone answered, watching Nangong Yuqin shed tears.

Then Feng Jingru pulled the confused Nangong Yuqin through the winding pavilions and corridors, stopping in front of a building.

Tan Yun, Shen Subing, Mu Mengyi, Zhong Wu Shiyao, Huangfu Yu, Xue Ziyan, Tuoba Yingying, and also Tan Feng and Old Master Tan all followed closely behind.

Feng Jingru held Nangong Yuqin's hand, shedding tears as she pointed to a plaque hanging on the building that read "Jade Whisper Pavilion," stuttering, "Qin'er, this is the pavilion where you lived for five whole years, and you still lived here the night before you left at fifteen."

Feng Jingru led Nangong Yuqin inside the pavilion, taking her to the spacious room on the second floor. Looking at the spotless furnishings, she choked up, "For the years you were away from home, I cleaned your room every day. Everything you used is still here, untouched."

"Every time I cleaned your room, my heart broke a little more!"

Nangong Yuqin gazed at the familiar yet strange pink room, her beautiful eyes growing red.

Feng Jingru sighed, her eyes swollen, and said, "You are an orphan, abandoned at the door of the Tan Residence when you were a baby. I brought you back."

"Before you turned ten, even though you were a maid in the Tan Residence, I treated you as my own daughter just like Yun'er."

"You were always clever and understanding, naturally beautiful, and incredibly talented. By the age of ten, you had already reached the third level of spirit embryo realm, so I adopted you as my goddaughter that year, and Tan Yun became your godbrother."

"When you turned fifteen, you had already reached the sixth level of spirit embryo realm and, along with Liu Ruyan and Situ Jiannan, were recognized as the three great talents of Wangyue Town."

"And then... and then you..."

At this point, Feng Jingru could no longer continue, breaking into sobs. Tan Feng wiped his tears and said, "Qin'er, let me tell you what happened next."

Tan Feng continued, "Later, when Yun'er married Liu Ruyan, he uncovered the Liu and Situ families' plot to poison us on the wedding day, seeking to wipe out the Tan Family."
