Tan Yun followed Mr. Know-it-all discreetly and arrived at the twelfth floor of the Sky-reaching Spirit Pavilion, in a large room.
"Activate!"
Mr. Know-it-all snapped his fingers, and a shimmering array of light appeared in the center of the room.
"This is a teleportation array that can take us to the vicinity of the refining soul realm," he explained, his voice filled with excitement.
Tan Yun observed the intricate patterns of the array, his starry eyes reflecting a fleeting glint of cunning.
As they stood before the array, Tan Yun pondered his next move. He was aware that every step he took was crucial, especially in a place like this where danger lurked at every corner.
"Are you ready?" Mr. Know-it-all asked, glancing back at Tan Yun.
"Of course," Tan Yun replied, masking the slight tension in his voice.
With a wave of Mr. Know-it-all's hand, the array flared to life, bathing the room in a blinding light.
Tan Yun felt a surge of spiritual power as they were enveloped in the energy of the teleportation array, ready to embark on their journey.
In his heart, however, a sense of unease lingered. The refining soul realm was not a place for the faint-hearted, and he knew that challenges awaited them ahead.
Immediately, the wall rippled like a lake, transforming into a door. Mr. Know-it-all beckoned Tan Yun and stepped in.
Tan Yun followed closely behind and was greeted by the sight of a teleportation array.
"Tan, come with me," Mr. Know-it-all said kindly as he stepped into the teleportation array.
"Yes, senior," Tan Yun respectfully replied, standing beside Mr. Know-it-all, he marveled, "Senior, your Sky-reaching Spirit Pavilion actually contains a universe within! I’m afraid very few people know that there is also a teaching array set up here?"
Mr. Know-it-all nodded and said, "Well, after all, human hearts are treacherous and must be guarded against. If I placed all the Spirit Stones in the Sky-reaching Spirit Pavilion and someone coveted them, wouldn't that be disastrous?"
With a wave of his right hand, Mr. Know-it-all shot a Spirit Stone into the groove that activated the teleportation array.
"Buzz!"
Instantly, the space of the teleportation array twisted, and both Mr. Know-it-all and Tan Yun disappeared.
In the next moment, the scenery before Tan Yun changed, and he found himself in a magnificent palace, with the teleportation array beneath his feet.
Just as Tan Yun wanted to turn back to observe the terrain outside, he heard Mr. Know-it-all's reminder, "Tan, this hall is the treasure vault of our Sky-reaching Spirit Pavilion. I have to be cautious, so you must not look back at the scenery outside the hall. Otherwise, if you see it, wouldn't you know where this hall is built?"
"Understood, senior," Tan Yun replied, his nerves tense.
Quietly, Tan Yun opened the Spirit Beast Bag, and a voice entered the minds of the heavenly slayer demon ape and golden dragon spirit lion, "Later, as long as no one acts against me, you will remain still and wait for my command!"
"If someone attacks me, you will strike back!"
After giving the orders, Tan Yun followed Mr. Know-it-all to the second floor.
Tan Yun noticed that inside the hall, apart from the tightly closed hall doors, there were no other exits, not even a window, resembling a huge sealed palace!
"Subordinate pays respects to the vice commander!"
Suddenly, a man in black, masked like a ghost, floated past Tan Yun and knelt on one knee in front of Mr. Know-it-all.
"Subordinate pays respects to the vice commander!"
Immediately after, shimmering shadows appeared, with hundreds of people kneeling on one knee in front of Mr. Know-it-all.
Tan Yun glanced around and found that, including Mr. Know-it-all, there were exactly four hundred and ninety people!
Tan Yun clearly remembered that when he killed that death warrior, he learned from him that Fang Canghai had a total of five hundred death warriors!
Back then, Old Ape had killed nine, and then captured Shadowy Wraith, meaning apart from those ten, there were still four hundred and ninety left. The people before him were evidently all the death warriors.
