“Tan Yun, as long as you are willing to spare my life…”
Fu Chaqiu's voice trembled as he pleaded, desperation evident in his eyes.
Tan Yun's expression remained cold and unyielding.
“Spare your life? Do you think I would let a scoundrel like you go?”
Fu Chaqiu struggled to breathe, panic rising within him.
“Please, I can be of help to you! I have connections in Fang City, and I can provide valuable information!”
Tan Yun paused, considering the offer, but his grip did not loosen.
“Your information is worthless to me, and you’re nothing but a coward.”
“Coward?! I’m just being practical!” Fu Chaqiu protested, his voice cracking.
“Practicality won’t save you now,” Tan Yun said coldly, his resolve firm.
“Wait! Just give me a chance! I swear I’ll make it up to you!”
Tan Yun's gaze hardened.
“Make it up? You think I could ever trust you again after what you did?”
“Please, I’ll do anything! I can even help you against your enemies!”
Tan Yun finally loosened his grip slightly, but the menacing glare in his eyes remained.
“Anything?” he asked, intrigued yet cautious.
“Yes! I know secrets! Secrets that could help you rise in power!”
Tan Yun contemplated for a moment, weighing the options.
“Fine. But if you try to deceive me, I won't hesitate to end you.”
Fu Chaqiu nodded fervently, relief flooding over him.
“Thank you! Thank you! I promise, I’ll be loyal!”
Tan Yun released him fully, stepping back but keeping a watchful eye on Fu Chaqiu.
“Speak, then. What do you know?”
Fu Chaqiu took a deep breath, gathering himself before sharing his insights into the scheming factions within Fang City and the potential allies Tan Yun could recruit.
As he spoke, Tan Yun listened intently, ready to strike if Fu Chaqiu dared to betray him again.
Before Fu Chaqiu could finish his sentence, Tan Yun's sinister laughter interrupted him. “Spare you? That’s absolutely impossible. Otherwise, how unfair would that be to your sixteenth brother?”
A demon!
At this moment, in Fu Chaqiu's eyes, Tan Yun was a demon!
“Fu Chaqiu, listen carefully.” Tan Yun's laughter was devilish. “Before his death, your sixteenth brother Fu Chahan was not only crippled by me but I also made sure he could not die a man.”
“And you will be the same.”
Fu Chaqiu was utterly horrified. As the twelfth young master of the Eastern Continent Divine Sect, he had never imagined he would die one day because, in his heart, no one dared to lay a hand on him!
But today, he faced not only death but such a brutal manner of dying; how could he not be terrified?
“Tan Yun… don’t… don’t!”
As Fu Chaqiu let out a desperate scream, Tan Yun tightened his left hand around his neck while brandishing a Divine Sword in his right, swiftly severing his arms and legs!
Then, the sword plunged into the lower part of Fu Chaqiu’s abdomen!
The pain nearly made Fu Chaqiu faint.
“Fu Chaqiu, you don’t need to feel lonely. I promise that within four months, I will send your other fourteen brothers to accompany you and Fu Chahan.” Tan Yun's gaze was fierce. “Remember, if there’s a next life, don’t offend me, Tan Yun!”
“Oh, I’m sorry. It’s regrettable that I will ensure your soul and essence are entirely obliterated; you won’t have a next life at all.”
Upon hearing this, Fu Chaqiu's eyes widened in fury. “Tan Yun, I curse you…”
“Crack!”
Before Fu Chaqiu could finish speaking, Tan Yun crushed his neck.
“Bang!”
With a wave of his right arm, a surge of ancestral power obliterated Fu Chaqiu's headless corpse. Just as the remnants of his soul and six essences were about to escape from his head, they were mercilessly extinguished by Tan Yun!
Tan Yun trembled, shaking the blood off his body, then put away Fu Chaqiu's Ancestral Ring and placed his head into a wooden box he had prepared in advance.
Afterward, Tan Yun lifted the barrier and used the invisibility technique to head towards Treasure Mountain...
Half an hour later.
