At the Spirit Mountain Herb Garden, within the ancient and simple dwelling, five days had passed since Tan Yun’s recovery. He was now fully intact and full of energy as he stepped out of the door, breathing in the fresh air and savoring the joy of being reborn after a calamity.
Five days prior, he had been deceived by a woman named Lin Yi, who had lured him to a summit six hundred miles away from the Mountain Gate. It was there that he had been ambushed by Lin Yi and an accomplice.
Tan Yun's gaze turned cold. "You two scoundrels will eventually fall into my hands!"
"Wow... Senior Brother Tan, you're better already after just five days!" Da Niu stepped out of the house, looking at Tan Yun and rubbing his eyes in disbelief.
Tan Yun twitched his mouth and glanced at Da Niu. "Next time, speak properly without all the exclamations."
"Hehe, got it, little brother knows now." Da Niu grinned and walked towards Tan Yun. Suddenly, he stared at Tan Yun’s left side and exclaimed, "Wow... what a beautiful woman!"
Tan Yun, puzzled, was about to turn to look when a deliberately altered female voice echoed in his ears, "Don't look! Guess who I am?"
Immediately after, accompanied by a faint scent of a woman, Tan Yun's eyes were covered, and he felt two soft, elastic sensations on his back that made him unable to suppress his wandering thoughts.
“Tan Yun, tell me who I am!” the teasing voice rang in Tan Yun's ears.
Tan Yun smiled slightly and confidently said, "Since you’re making a fuss, I know it’s you, Ziyan."
“Hmm…” Dressed in a flowing purple gown, Xue Ziyan pouted, clearly displeased. "Really, I’m done playing, you have no energy at all."
"But Tan Yun, how did you know it was me?" Xue Ziyan placed her delicate hand on her waist, looking intently at Tan Yun.
“Cough, cough.” Tan Yun lightly cleared his throat, avoiding her gaze. "Ziyan, why are you here?"
“Don’t change the subject! First, answer me, how did you know it was me?” Xue Ziyan insisted with feigned anger.
“Um...” Tan Yun hesitated, then explained, “I smelled your fragrance, which is how I guessed it was you.”
“You’re lying!” Xue Ziyan pretended to be angry. “I only started using this kind of scented powder after entering the Five Soul Lineage. You’ve never seen me before, how would you know?”
“Come on, I’m really curious,” Xue Ziyan said, grabbing Tan Yun’s arm and acting cute.
“No way, I can talk about other things but not this,” Tan Yun said seriously, refusing to tease her further.
“Will you say it or not?”
“No.”
“Are you sure you won’t say it?”
“Sure, I won’t say it!” Tan Yun affirmed.
“Alas~ then fine.” Xue Ziyan let go of Tan Yun and took out two letters, waving them in front of him, proudly saying, “I’ll ask you one last time, don’t say I didn’t give you a chance. So, will you say it or not?”
Tan Yun was speechless. “If I say it, you better not regret it.”
“Regret? What would I regret? You’re being ridiculous,” Xue Ziyan frowned slightly. “Stop stalling; I snuck out to deliver this letter to you. I have to hurry back before my master finds out.”
“Ziyan, this really can’t be said,” Tan Yun insisted again.
“Will you say it or not? If you don’t, I’ll really leave!” Xue Ziyan said earnestly.
“Alright, alright, I’ll say it.” Tan Yun glanced at Xue Ziyan’s chest and truthfully said, “Just now, when you covered my eyes from behind and touched my back, cough, cough… you know cultivators have a near photographic memory. I used that to deduce it was you.”
“You…” Xue Ziyan glared at Tan Yun, her cheeks turning bright red. After stuffing the letters into Tan Yun's arms, she flew away on her flying sword, leaving behind a complex and playful voice, “Brother-in-law, you’re so bad! You bullied me! I’ll tell Senior Sister Mu that you molested me!”
“Pfft!”
Tan Yun spat out his drink, exclaiming helplessly, “I said I wouldn’t say it, but you insisted, and now don’t twist the truth to dream of making it black and white!”
