Tan Yun's left hand grasped Gongsun Shanshan's ankle, while his right hand clutched Gongzhi Zhenxiong's ankle. With a powerful motion of his arms, he brought the two of them back down.
“Let go of me!” Gongsun Shanshan shouted, her face pale with fear.
“Do you want to die?” Tan Yun replied sternly, using his strength to secure their positions.
Both of them looked at Tan Yun with wide eyes, realizing the danger they were in.
“Why... why did you pull us back?” Gongzhi Zhenxiong stammered, still shaken.
“The spirit pool is more dangerous than you think,” Tan Yun explained, his voice steady.
He glanced at the shimmering waters of the spirit pool, where a dark presence seemed to swirl just beneath the surface.
“Trust me, staying away from it is the best choice right now,” he added firmly.
Gongsun Shanshan and Gongzhi Zhenxiong exchanged glances, uncertainty flickering in their eyes.
“Okay, we believe you,” Gongsun Shanshan finally said, though her voice trembled slightly.
Tan Yun let out a sigh of relief, grateful that they had come to their senses.
“Let’s move back,” Tan Yun instructed, guiding them away from the edge of the spirit pool.
As they retreated, the atmosphere grew tense, the ominous aura of the spirit pool lingering in the air.
“Why is it so dangerous here?” Gongzhi Zhenxiong asked, his curiosity piqued despite the fear.
“It’s said that the spirit pool is a place of great power, but it also harbors tremendous dangers,” Tan Yun replied, recalling stories he had heard.
“Many have come to seek its blessings, but few have returned unscathed,” he continued, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
Gongsun Shanshan shuddered, her mind racing with thoughts of what could have happened if Tan Yun hadn't intervened.
“Thank you for saving us,” she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude.
Tan Yun nodded, knowing that they had narrowly escaped a dire fate.
“Just remember, never underestimate the power of the primordial chaos,” he advised, his eyes scanning the area with heightened caution.
The group continued further away from the spirit pool, the impending sense of danger still heavy in the air.
Tan Yun grabbed Gongsun Shanshan's ankle with his left hand and clasped Gongzhi Zhenxiong's ankle with his right. He swung his arms, spinning the two like a whirlwind, then slammed them down hard onto the ground!
“Bang, bang!”
“Crack, crack!”
With the muffled sounds of impact, the two crashed onto the ground. Under the immense force, the right arm bones of the first to land were brutally shattered!
“Jing Yun, no... don’t kill me.” Gongsun Shanshan shook her head, tears of fear streaming down her face.
Tan Yun smiled coldly, “Gongsun Shanshan, back in the Azure Sun Divine Lake, it was your Gongsun family that tried to kill people and seize treasures.”
“They were killed by me; that's their just desserts!”
“But in the Azure Sun Market, you wanted to kill me! If it weren't for my Divine Vessel, I would have long been caught and killed by you!”
“As for your brother, he tried to kill me during Shimin and Shiyin's wansui birthday celebration but was killed by me instead. That’s just because he was outmatched, and he deserved to die!”
