At this moment, Shen Qingfeng stood in the courtyard, stunned like a wooden chicken, as he watched Tan Yun walk out of the side room unscathed, looking as if he had seen a ghost.
His heart surged with waves of shock; it was hard to believe that in just five days, Tan Yun's injuries had completely healed.
After regaining his composure, a fleeting hint of sadness crossed Shen Qingfeng's astonished gaze. He thought to himself, Tan Yun's ability to recover from injuries is so outlandish, too bad he's just a waste fetal soul!
Shen Qingfeng sighed, “Alas, if you weren’t a waste fetal soul, how wonderful that would be!”
“Elder Shen, no matter whether I am a waste fetal soul or not, I won’t let you down,” Tan Yun replied with a carefree smile.
“Hahaha, good! Elder and my second brother, we look forward to your performance,” Shen Qingfeng encouraged him. He added, “Now that you're healed, head back to the Spirit Mountain Herb Garden. Oh right, I've asked Dai Zhang to help keep an eye on the 888th herb garden you manage. Make sure to thank him.”
“Disciple understands.”
Seeing Tan Yun still lingering and appearing as if he wanted to say something, Shen Qingfeng asked, “What’s the matter?”
Tan Yun frowned slightly, and reluctantly said, “Elder Shen, the items I got after killing Li Zian, you haven’t given them to me yet.”
“Uh… cough, almost forgot,” Shen Qingfeng replied with an awkward smile. “What? Are you worried that I might cheat you?”
“Just give it to me and scram!”
As he spoke, a flash of light appeared in Shen Qingfeng's fingers. The Qiankun Ring shone, and out came Li Zian's Qiankun Ring, along with the Top-Grade Spirit Artifact, the Soul-Devouring Blood Cauldron, the flying and alchemical Spirit Cauldron, and a Thunder-attribute Top-Grade Spirit Artifact, the Spirit Spear, materializing from thin air at Tan Yun’s feet.
Tan Yun used spatial grasping to collect them into the Qiankun Ring and flashed a grin. He then stepped onto his Flying Sword and soared into the air, beginning to fly around the back mountain, preparing to head to the front mountain's 888th herb garden to thank the disposable disciple Dai Zhang.
“Zhou Run?” While flying with sword control, Tan Yun saw a familiar figure standing motionless in a damp herb garden in the back mountain.
“Whoosh!”
Tan Yun landed in front of Zhou Run, who rubbed his eyes in disbelief, “Senior Brother Tan, you've recovered in just five days!”
“What? Do you expect me to lie in bed for half a year?” Tan Yun replied sternly.
“Tan, Tan… Senior Brother, I didn’t mean that,” Zhou Run stammered, looking terrified.
“Alright, just joking with you. Did you take it seriously?” Tan Yun laughed, then noticed five spiritual herbs in the soil and exclaimed, “Wow, five stalks of eighth-grade Revival Jade Grass. This is a good find.”
Upon hearing this, Zhou Run's eyes widened, “Senior Brother Tan, you actually recognize Revival Jade Grass?”
To Zhou Run, it was incredible that Tan Yun had only been in the Spirit Mountain Herb Garden for six days and had been lying in bed for five of them. It was impossible for him to recognize Revival Jade Grass, and even if he did, he certainly shouldn’t be able to tell it was eight hundred years old at a glance!
“Is it strange for a disciple of the Spirit Mountain Herb Garden to recognize spiritual herbs?” Tan Yun smiled faintly. “Alright, I have business to attend to.”
“Okay, Senior Brother Tan, you take care,” Zhou Run said, turning his back to the Revival Jade Grass, admiringly watching Tan Yun fly away while muttering to himself, “Why do I feel that Senior Brother Tan is so mysterious!”
Suddenly, a sharp sound broke through Zhou Run's thoughts.
He turned to the source of the noise and immediately fumed with rage, spotting several field mice darting around not far away in the herb garden.
“Damn rodents!” Zhou Run shouted angrily, transforming into a flurry of afterimages as he rushed towards the field mice.
