As they were leaving, Shen Qingqiu held Tan Yun's hand and reminded him, “Mengyi is a good child with a difficult fate; you must not let her down.”

“Rest assured, Elder. I not only won’t let her down, but I will also help her take revenge in the future!” Tan Yun replied earnestly, his voice firm as iron. “Once we find her mother's whereabouts, I will make a grand marriage with her.”

“Good, with your words, I can rest easy,” Shen Qingqiu said, reluctantly gazing at Tan Yun and the others as he waved them off. “The road from here to the Inner Sect is long; go on, all of you.”

After Mu Mengyi and the others departed, the night deepened. The four did not immediately head to the Inner Sect; instead, they hunted some game. By the time the stars twinkled in the sky and the bright moon rose high, Tan Yun was barbecuing various wild meats on the rooftop of Mu Mengyi's pavilion.

The next morning, the four of them summoned their Flying Swords, rising into the air and hovering above the outer sect's pavilions.

The three women gazed longingly down at the outer sect. After a few moments, they stood on their Flying Swords alongside Tan Yun, flying toward the eastern horizon, laughing and chatting together.

The Inner Sect's chief had given them ten days to report back to their respective sects. Hence, with plenty of time on hand, the four naturally took the opportunity to admire the dreamlike mountain ranges as they slowly flew toward the Inner Mountain Gate, five thousand miles to the east.

On the way, Tan Yun pushed the speed of his sword control flight to the limit. With his cultivation level reaching the seventh layer of the fetal soul realm, his sword control speed was now comparable to the great perfection of the fetal soul realm, capable of covering one hundred and twenty thousand miles in a day.

It took the four of them three full hours to finally arrive at the mountain peak known as the Inner Sect Boundary Peak.

As the name suggests, it marked the boundary between the outer sect and the inner sect.

The Inner Sect Boundary Peak soared to a height of eighty thousand feet, standing tall among the misty mountains. Along both sides of the peak, shimmering barriers blocked the outer sect disciples from entering.

One could only pass through the Inner Mountain Gate located halfway up the boundary peak to access the Inner Sect.

Beside the teleportation array stood two male disciples in golden Dao robes, both at the eighth layer of the fetal soul realm, with the word "Law Enforcement" embroidered on their chests. The moment they saw Tan Yun, they exchanged a glance, a fleeting glint of murderous intent flashing in their eyes, and then whispered to each other:
