Tan Yun clasped his fists and said, “Junior Sister, may I ask your name? Also, have we met before?”

Upon hearing this, the girl in the green dress looked at Tan Yun, her beautiful eyes gleaming with disdain. “Are you trying to flirt with beautiful women like this? How utterly vulgar.”

Feeling embarrassed, Tan Yun scratched his head awkwardly and replied, “I didn’t mean to offend you. I just have a feeling I’ve seen you somewhere before.”

The girl snorted coldly, “You must be mistaken. I am Nangong Ruxue, and I have never met someone as presumptuous as you.”

Nangong Ruxue turned to leave, but Tan Yun quickly said, “Please wait! I truly feel a sense of familiarity. If we haven’t met, it might just be a coincidence.”

She paused, glancing back at Tan Yun with a hint of curiosity. “You really think you can get to know me better with such a weak attempt at conversation?”

Tan Yun felt a bit flustered. “I just want to clarify things. I’m not trying to pursue you or anything.”

“Then what is it?” she asked, crossing her arms.

Tan Yun took a deep breath and replied, “I’m a new Outer Sect Disciple. I’m just hoping to make a few friends. It would help me adjust to this place.”

Nangong Ruxue observed him for a moment before her expression softened slightly. “Fine, I’ll give you a chance. Just don’t waste my time.”

Tan Yun sighed in relief, grateful for her willingness to listen. “Thank you, Ruxue. I promise I won’t.”

As they chatted, the atmosphere between them gradually eased. Tan Yun felt that he might have made a meaningful connection.

However, just then, a voice interrupted them. “Ruxue, why are you wasting time with this guy?”

Tan Yun turned to see a tall, striking figure approaching. It was Xue Ziyan, one of the four great beauties of the outer sect. Her presence commanded attention, and her sharp gaze fell on Tan Yun.

“Xue Ziyan, this is Tan Yun,” Nangong Ruxue introduced him, her tone slightly annoyed at the interruption.

Xue Ziyan narrowed her eyes, “Tan Yun? What’s so special about you? You think you can just approach Ruxue like that?”

“I—” Tan Yun started, but Xue Ziyan was already cutting him off.

“Just know your place. You’re nothing more than a lowly Outer Sect Disciple,” she said dismissively before turning to Ruxue. “Come on, let’s go.”

With that, Xue Ziyan walked away, leaving Tan Yun standing there feeling dejected.

Nangong Ruxue hesitated for a moment but then sighed, “Don’t take it to heart. She can be a bit harsh.”

Tan Yun managed a smile. “It’s fine. I understand how it is.”

As the day continued, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease, but he was determined to prove himself in the Sacred Sect.

“Tsk, tsk.” The girl in the green dress slightly raised the corner of her mouth, her gaze filled with contempt. “Many people know this young lady, so many I can’t even count. But let me make it clear: stop using these common tricks to get close to me.”

After saying this, the girl in the green dress turned her head, eyeing Mu Mengyi and Zhong Wu Shi Yao, and coldly snorted, “I admit you are beautiful, but don’t think that just because some disgusting men have elevated you to the status of the four great beauties of the outer sect, you are truly the most beautiful.”

“If we’re talking about who’s the most beautiful, wait until you have the fortune to meet my sister. You will naturally find that my sister is the most dazzling flower, while you are merely the green leaves.”

After arrogantly finishing her words, the girl in the green dress turned to leave, but Tan Yun’s figure flashed and appeared before her. His cold, emotionless eyes locked onto her, and his voice was low as he said, “I will ask you one last time, what is your name?”

“You… what do you want?” The girl in the green dress pouted angrily.

“I want you to tell me!” A booming shout erupted from Tan Yun's throat, as displeasure thickened in his gaze. He clearly felt a sense of familiarity with this girl, and after asking her three times patiently, she still refused to answer.
