After Murong Gudao finished speaking, he seemed to have noticed something, raising an eyebrow, “Someone is coming!”
Tan Yun, who was nearby, perked up at those words. He focused his spiritual sense and quickly scanned the surrounding area.
“Who is it?” Tan Yun asked, his voice low and cautious.
Murong Gudao's expression turned serious as he replied, “It could be the people of the Huangfu Sacred Sect. We must be careful.”
The atmosphere grew tense as they prepared themselves for the impending encounter. The Hundred Flower Immortal Valley was known for its beautiful yet treacherous terrain, and any unwelcome guests could disrupt their plans.
As they waited, the rustling of leaves and the sound of footsteps approached. Tan Yun clenched his fists, ready for anything.
“Stay alert,” Murong Gudao whispered, signaling for them to remain hidden.
Suddenly, a group of figures emerged from the shadows, their faces shrouded by hoods. Tan Yun recognized them; they were indeed the people of the Huangfu Sacred Sect.
“Search the area. They must be around here somewhere,” one of the figures commanded, his voice cold and authoritative.
Tan Yun and Murong Gudao exchanged a glance, realizing they needed to act quickly.
“We can't let them find us,” Tan Yun whispered.
“Follow my lead,” Murong Gudao replied, his eyes narrowing as he formulated a plan.
With a swift motion, they retreated deeper into the valley, hoping to evade detection and find a way to turn the tables on their pursuers.
As they moved silently through the underbrush, they could hear the Huangfu Sacred Sect members getting closer, their footsteps echoing ominously in the quiet of the valley.
“This way,” Murong Gudao gestured, leading Tan Yun towards a concealed cave dwelling that they could use as a temporary hideout.
Once inside, they caught their breath and listened intently to the sounds outside.
“Do you think they saw us?” Tan Yun asked, his heart racing.
“I don't think so, but we need to be prepared for anything,” Murong Gudao replied, his expression serious.
As they waited in the darkness, Tan Yun couldn't shake the feeling that this confrontation was only the beginning of a much larger conflict.
“Whatever happens, we must protect the Hundred Flower Immortal Valley,” Tan Yun declared, determination burning in his eyes.
Murong Gudao nodded, “Agreed. We will not let the Huangfu Sacred Sect take what is rightfully ours.”
With their resolve set, they prepared themselves for the challenges ahead, knowing that the battle for the valley was far from over.
“Hundred Flower Immortal Valley is just a good place for leisure; how could it possibly have the Ancient Soul Flower from four thousand years ago?”
“Alas, I’m really sick for trying to find a cure; I hope the Hundred Flower Immortal Valley has the spiritual herb I need.”
