CHAPTER 104: Deity Lord's Heavenly Palace
In the next ten days, Tan Yun maneuvered the Spirit Vessel, flying back and forth while expanding the search area towards the southern horizon.
Tan Yun's mood was heavy. "Now, there are less than six months until the opening of the Seed of Time and Space Sacred Tower. If I don’t return, it might be too late!"
Out of desperation, Tan Yun could only turn the Spirit Vessel around, preparing to return to the trial area.
“Boom!”
At that moment, as the Spirit Vessel turned, it suddenly shook, as if it had collided with a vessel made of steel, producing a dull sound.
Tan Yun looked in the direction of the sound and found that there was nothing around the Spirit Vessel; it was still the vast Sea of Clouds.
At this, Tan Yun seemed to think of something and began to tremble with excitement. "Illusion Array!"
With hopeful eyes, Tan Yun immediately maneuvered the Spirit Vessel to soar to great heights, then directed it towards the empty void for a collision.
“Boom!”
Instantly, the front end of the Spirit Vessel emitted a tremendous sound, causing the void to shake.
Tan Yun's face showed excitement as he propelled the Spirit Vessel skyward, continuously colliding with the void. Each collision produced a loud noise. Even after soaring to hundreds of thousands of feet, it remained the same.
“Hahaha, found it! Within the Illusion Array is an immense palace! No wonder I couldn't find it; it must have been set up by the higher-ups of the sect!”
Tan Yun couldn’t help but let out a long howl. He quickly calmed himself down and began to break the Illusion Array.
He leaped out from the cultivation room, standing on the front end of the Spirit Vessel. The strong wind tousled his hair but couldn’t disperse the gaze he cast towards all directions!
Tan Yun started scanning the area, observing the towering peaks protruding from the clouds, moving very slowly...
After an unknown amount of time, Tan Yun's lips curled up slightly, and his gaze finally landed on eight peaks in the endless heights.
Following Tan Yun's line of sight, one could see that these eight peaks were arranged in a crescent shape at a distance, almost impossible to notice without careful observation.
Amidst these eight towering peaks forming a crescent, there stood thirty-six other peaks in disarray.
Tan Yun stood with his hands behind his back, a confident smile forming at the corners of his mouth. "So, it was indeed set up by the saint formation master with the starry moonring illusion array."
"Using the thirty-six secondary peaks as stars; viewing the eight main peaks as the crescent moon. The Huangfu Sacred Sect truly has a wealth of talent and experts, utilizing the mountains of the world to set up formations."
It is well-known that the path of formation refining is divided into: Formation Apprentice, Formation Master, Grand Formation Master, Saint Formation Master, and Sacred Formation Master...
With Tan Yun's understanding of formation refining, he could easily determine that the one who set up the starry moonring illusion array was at least a high-level Sacred Formation Master!
Similarly, to break this Illusion Array, one would at least need a high-level Sacred Formation Master to accomplish it.
Then, with a smile, Tan Yun maneuvered the Spirit Vessel through the Sea of Clouds. Soon after, the Spirit Vessel landed on the peak of the last of the eight towering peaks.
Immediately, Tan Yun crossed his hands high above his head and dove headfirst from the Spirit Vessel down towards the peak.
Suddenly, his body spun rapidly like a top, creating a whirlwind as he drilled into the peak.
As Tan Yun drilled down, the rocks in the mountain faced his hands, pitifully weak.
He drilled through the rocks until he plunged into a hollow that was a hundred feet in diameter.
Tan Yun flipped in mid-air, landing in the cave with a face full of dirt, then walked towards a formation plate at the center of the cave.
The formation plate had a diameter of thirty feet, shining silver, with countless fine formation patterns engraved on it, amounting to hundreds of thousands in total.
