Chapter Ninety-Four: Complete Victory
Although none of the three items he obtained could be used immediately, Han Li accepted them all without hesitation.
Then he stood up, dusted off the dirt on his clothes, and with a faint, enigmatic smile, looked toward Jia Tianlong and the members of the wild wolf gang.
“Do you plan to sever your own meridians, or shall I do it for you and send you on your way?” Han Li’s tone was polite, yet the meaning behind his words left the wild wolf gang no room for negotiation.
Upon hearing this, Jia Tianlong felt an intense chill run through his body, so cold that his entire face stiffened.
He kept silently urging himself to stay calm, convinced there must be a way to deal with this man. Yet, he couldn’t help but wipe a cold sweat from his brow. Jia Tianlong forced a bitter smile, knowing he didn’t need a mirror to see that his expression was far from good—indeed, it must have been quite dreadful.
Straining to turn his neck, he glanced around at the people nearby. Everyone else looked pale, their faces filled with panic and dread in the face of imminent disaster. They were at a loss, showing no hint of fighting spirit.
Feeling dejected, Jia Tianlong cast a glance toward the seven mysteries sect. His archrival, Wang Juechu, was staring at him coldly with murderous intent. Most of the others wore expressions of vindication, as if a long-standing grudge was finally being settled.
Jia Tianlong’s heart grew confused. His gaze unconsciously dropped to those originally supposed to be loyal subordinates outside the deathmatch arena. Their expressions varied—some looked anxious, others indifferent—but a large group wore triumphant smiles, huddled together and whispering as if reveling in the misfortune.
“No, I cannot die here like this! I must survive and continue to build my hegemonic enterprise!” A certain person’s expression struck a nerve in Jia Tianlong, and suddenly, a wild gleam flashed in his eyes.
“Men! Iron guards, step forward! Prepare the crossbows! The rest, get the Dark Azure Pellets ready!” Jia Tianlong suddenly summoned his internal force and roared angrily.
As the leader of the gang, Jia Tianlong’s voice, infused with internal force, revitalized those in the deathmatch arena who had been bewildered. Members of the wild wolf gang and experts from other smaller factions all found new resolve. They rubbed their fists eagerly, ready to fight to the death.
Han Li furrowed his brow slightly and let out a soft hum before slowly walking toward Jia Tianlong, hands folded behind his back.
“Looks like I’ll have to put in a bit more effort,” Han Li thought to himself with a self-mocking smile.
“Fire!” As soon as Han Li entered the crossbows’ effective range, Jia Tianlong licked his dry lips and gave the order without hesitation.
Immediately, hundreds of steel crossbow bolts shot out densely, filling the small space in front of Han Li, making it impenetrable like a storm of arrows.
An astonishing scene unfolded. Jia Tianlong saw that the young man standing before the incoming bolts showed no fear. Instead, he gave a strange smile, and then his form began to blur. The bolts passed through him without the slightest hindrance and flew off into the distance as if he had become intangible. In that instant, his body seemed insubstantial.
Then, in broad daylight, the young man swayed a little and vanished without a trace.
Jia Tianlong’s face went pale as iron. Just as he was about to instruct his men to be cautious, Han Li suddenly reappeared only a dozen steps away.
This time, before Jia Tianlong could give any orders, the iron guards unleashed another volley of crossbow bolts mixed with darts and hidden weapons, all fired at Han Li in a frenzy.
What surprised everyone was that Han Li, once again under the watchful eyes of all, disappeared without a trace.
Just as Jia Tianlong was overwhelmed with fear, two piercing screams suddenly came from behind him. Shocked, he quickly turned around.
