Chapter 882: Ape Vultures
In the current situation, having such a powerful spiritual insect to command greatly enhanced the chances of survival.
With a flicker of his mind, the small banner in Han Li’s hand suddenly grew larger by several inches. The golden golddevourer worm circled once before diving straight into the surface of the banner. A flash of black energy followed, and then the worm vanished without a trace.
Without a word, Han Li casually tossed the small banner aside. The black-green nascent soul grinned and opened its mouth wide, directly absorbing the Yin Luo Banner into its body. Suddenly, it transformed into a black blossom and in a flash, it disappeared into Han Li’s third eye without a trace.
Han Li then took a deep breath, intending to close his eyes and start comprehending the incantation to lift the seal, preparing for any unforeseen circumstances ahead.
But suddenly his expression shifted, and he looked up.
Although his cultivation base was sealed, Han Li’s spiritual awareness remained completely intact. If his sensing was correct, the same Tuwo immortal master had just flown past their caravan once again from above.
This was somewhat interesting.
This immortal cultivator from the Tuwo people was clearly searching for Han Li; over the past ten days or so, he had flown past the caravan’s airspace almost every two or three days. But each time, it was brief, with no sign of landing or inquiring about the caravan. This made Han Li’s previously prepared methods for hiding his identity useless.
Though puzzled, Han Li was naturally pleased with this approach. He immediately closed his eyes again.
At that moment, a loud roar came from outside the horse-drawn carriage—Yinglu’s shout.
“Everyone, get your spirits up! Just two more days, and we will reach the Sanctuary’s designated station. There, we can rest safely for two days.”
“Sanctuary’s station?” Han Li’s heart stirred slightly at those words. After a moment’s thought, he stopped paying attention and calmly focused on comprehending the incantation.
But only half a day later, Han Li sensed another tribe’s caravan nearby. This caravan wasn’t very large but had about a dozen more people than the Canglu Tribe’s. Judging by their directions, the two caravans would meet within an hour. But since these people appeared harmless, Han Li didn’t pay much attention.
Almost an hour later, both tribute caravans simultaneously noticed each other’s presence.
Naturally, chaos ensued. But after a brief communication between representatives from both sides, it turned out that the leader of the other caravan was an old acquaintance of Yinglu’s. It was a small tribe called the Red Wolf Tribe.
Both Yinglu and the opposing leader were delighted beyond words, and without hesitation, the two caravans merged and continued on the road together.
“Brother Yinglu, where is the immortal master in your tribe? Are they on the carriage?” The opposing leader was a burly man with a full beard, inspecting the few carriages of the Yinglu Tribe with curiosity.
“Aren’t your tribe’s immortal masters also inside your carriages? I wonder how many immortal masters the Red Wolf Tribe brought along this time,” Yinglu responded vaguely.
“How many? Naturally only one. That was after I took a huge risk and paid a fortune to retain a free immortal master temporarily in my tribe,” the burly man said with a sidelong glance at the elder, chuckling.
The two had some history, so they spoke candidly.
“Two? Naturally only one as well. It was also very difficult to persuade the immortal master to escort us,” Yinglu sighed. The two exchanged a glance and both smiled wryly, feeling a sense of comradeship in hardship.
“Well, no matter what, having an immortal master in the group brings much more peace of mind. Now, we are only a day’s journey from the station, so there should be no more problems. But for the remaining half of the trip, which passes through the territories of several large tribes, we must be extra cautious.”
