Han Li didn’t put away the Heavenly Doom Demonic Corpse or the various puppets. Instead, while flying, he released more than a dozen giant turtle puppets.

Ancestor Linghu and the woman in white who had followed behind were both surprised to see this, but also somewhat relieved. At such a close distance, he realized the so-called black-purple strange glow was actually countless pitch-black demonic energy tentacles wildly twisting within the purplish-red demonic light. The source of this demonic energy was a demon creature at the center of the purple light.

This demon had a single horn on its forehead, a terrifying face, similar to the fleeing two-headed four-armed demon, but its body was like an ordinary person, with skin that was extraordinarily translucent and lustrous, like fine jade.

At this moment, the demon’s expression was blank, its eyes half-closed, as if it had not fully awakened.

What was strange, however, was that even though its lips were tightly shut, thunderous roars occasionally came from its abdomen. Just hearing the sound suggested the demon was raging with anger, yet its face remained expressionless, utterly indifferent.

Its two mechanical arms also clumsily hurled clusters of pitch-black fireballs downward. The movements were stiff and sluggish.

Though these black fireballs seemed insignificant, when they exploded into the green clouds below, they stirred up black fire waves over a dozen zhang wide, scattering the green clouds into pieces.

But Wei Wuya’s poisonous clouds were no ordinary matter. After a rolling counterattack, they extinguished the black flames. At the same time, huge masses of mist transformed into countless green giant serpents that relentlessly lunged upward to tear and bite, attempting to break through the air and directly attack the demon creature born from the demonic light.

Thus, the green mist, strange glow, and black demonic flames interwove and flickered, with booming sounds rumbling through the air intermittently.

“What’s going on? That demon seems not fully awakened yet, or perhaps it’s under some kind of restriction. This is a good opportunity,” Ancestor Linghu said with a change of expression and then delight as he caught up and stopped near Han Li, first showing surprise, then joy upon seeing the demon in the air.

“If it were that easy to kill, Fellow Cultivator Wei would have acted already. There must be some other secret. Judging by the intensity of the demonic energy, this demon is definitely connected to the one that escaped earlier and is much stronger,” Han Li said casually, shaking his head while his spiritual awareness scanned the surroundings.

He was somewhat puzzled why the demonized “Marquis of Nanlong” who came first was nowhere to be found. But then his gaze stopped on a group of silver-haired elders not far away. They looked stunned by the scene, and when they saw Han Li and his group arrive, their expressions turned to surprise. One elder surnamed Cheng saw Han Li and showed both shock and delight.

However, for reasons unknown, he only nodded and smiled at Han Li from afar but did not approach.

Han Li smiled bitterly and could only send a voice transmission: “Senior Brother Cheng, why have you gotten involved here? This demon is extremely dangerous; even Fellow Cultivator Wei below might not be a match. Also, there should be another two-headed four-armed demon nearby that’s no less powerful than this one.”
