Chapter 842: Two Heads and Four Arms
"From the way you speak, it sounds like you've seen it with your own eyes. But haven't you never entered Fallen Demon Valley?" Han Li’s heart stirred as he deliberately asked.
"Hmph, if I haven't seen it, can't I hear about it from others? Back then, several of my old friends who entered the valley with me, although their magical abilities were far inferior to mine, were no ordinary cultivators either. Yet, when they joined forces, only one barely escaped with their life. That shows just how powerful the ancient demon's demonic technique is," the Great Yin Divine Lord snorted a few times, as if trying to awaken Han Li’s awareness.
Han Li chuckled after hearing this and was about to ask more when a sudden roar of pain came from the black energy fleeing in the distance. Then, a whirlwind suddenly swept through the murky demonic energy, dispersing all the black mist and revealing the figure inside—the 'Marquis of Nanlong.'
Ancestor Linghu and the woman in white’s faces instantly changed upon seeing him clearly, and they drew a cold breath.
Is that still a human?
The 'Marquis of Nanlong' before them had completely transformed into a grotesque monster with two heads and four arms. One neck was in front, the other behind; one head large, the other smaller, both sinister-looking. On the shoulders, four unusually long demon arms extended, reaching past the knees.
The front head had patches of purple scales on its face, with a white horn several inches long sprouting from the forehead. But judging from the eyebrows, eyes, nose, and size, it was still the original head.
However, behind this head’s neck, forcibly pushed out, was a slightly smaller second head that looked completely like a demon ghost.
Though it also had a horn on its forehead and scales on its cheeks, its face was a terrifying blue, with tusks, black lips opening and closing. Its long tongue, covered with flesh spikes and black-red-purple hues, shot out over a foot like a venomous snake, quickly retracting.
Even more chilling were its narrow slit pupils that flashed a silver-white cold light. The eyeballs turned without a trace of emotion—obviously not human.
Not only the heads, but the body below the neck and the four long arms were covered in deep purple scales densely packed like armor. The fingertips grew bone-like spikes as nails, shining with silver-white light, razor-sharp.
Seeing this fearsome sight that sent chills down their spines, Ancestor Linghu and the woman in white, though startled, were nascent soul cultivators who had lived for countless years and wouldn’t be easily frightened. Once the 'Marquis of Nanlong' revealed his true form, they stopped moving and simultaneously commanded their treasures to attack.
Five-colored light pillars flashed, instantly enclosing the 'Marquis of Nanlong.'
Ancestor Linghu’s heart rejoiced. Seizing the moment, the white giant ring quickly closed around him.
The demon soul’s front head remained expressionless, like a corpse, but the back head sneered mockingly.
Seeing the giant ring flash above its head and drop down, the demon soul lightly waved its four arms within the five-colored light pillars. Suddenly, all four demon hands gleamed with purple light, firmly grasping the giant ring without the slightest hesitation.
Ancestor Linghu was taken aback but hastily intensified the spell formation. The circular ring shone brightly and trembled fiercely, trying to break free. But the four large hands were like iron, unmoving even a bit.
The demon soul’s rear head sneered again and suddenly opened its mouth, spitting out a black ink-like liquid that hit the giant ring directly.
The ancient treasure, which had been flashing with spiritual light, let out a mournful sound as its light dispersed and it turned pitch black, shimmering with an eerie dark glow.
"My Inscribed Yang Ring?" Ancestor Linghu exclaimed in alarm. The moment the ring’s color changed, he lost the spiritual connection with the ancient treasure, his face turning pale and bloodless.
