Chapter 841: Joining Forces Against the Demon
The Marquis of Nanlong was momentarily stunned when the tiger demon puppets appeared before him. Yet, without hesitation, he charged forward relentlessly.
A dozen puppets flashed white light and moved simultaneously like the wind. Their figures blurred as they quickly surrounded the Marquis, dozens of claw rays fiercely slashing at him from all directions.
The Marquis’s expression darkened as he gave a low shout. Ignoring the claws striking his body, he swung both arms, his fists striking two puppets’ claws like lightning.
Two deep thuds sounded as the sharp claws met the black energy on his fists. The claws couldn’t harm his fists; instead, as the black energy expanded, the claws and even the puppets’ arms broke apart piece by piece.
However, the two puppets showed no fear of death and would not lose their magical power. Their cold light flickered, and another two claws attacked along with other puppets.
A low, sinister laugh escaped the Marquis’s lips. His shoulders slightly shook, and with a "swish," he vanished from his original spot. The claws aiming for him all missed. But immediately, two more thuds echoed!
The Marquis reappeared outside the circle, pulling his arms out from the chests of two one-armed tiger demon puppets. Though these puppets had no hearts, such severe damage caused them to lose control and fall straight from the air.
His fists were as hard as steel, and the tiger demon puppet bodies painstakingly crafted by Han Li could not withstand even an inch of his power.
Yet, this strike was merely opportunistic.
His real target was Han Li, who had yet to recover movement.
After destroying two puppets, the Marquis didn't pause. Before other puppets could encircle him, he flashed forward to Han Li’s side and unleashed an unhesitating punch.
Han Li’s magical power inside the light veil could not yet be raised, but seeing the demonic energy wrapped around the punch, he remained completely calm, a strange expression appearing on his face.
The Marquis was taken aback, wondering what Han Li’s intention was, when countless sharp explosive sounds erupted behind his head. It seemed as if something nearby suddenly rose up and attacked.
Startled, the Marquis quickly withdrew his punch and made a strange, swaying movement from side to side. Suddenly, numerous afterimages burst forth, and his true body vanished without a trace among them.
At his original position, countless green claw rays appeared out of thin air, instantly tearing the afterimages to pieces.
Then, the green light flickered, and a creature with green fur and a skull-like face materialized silently, coldly staring at the Marquis without a word.
It was the Heavenly Absolute Demon Corpse that Han Li had secretly summoned under the cover of the puppets.
The Marquis, focusing on the tiger demon puppets, had failed to notice the demon corpse hidden nearby. He was nearly ambushed.
“Corpse refining?” The Marquis exclaimed in surprise when he clearly saw the demon corpse.
At that moment, the other tiger demon puppets swiftly turned and surrounded Han Li on both sides.
Suddenly, Han Li raised both hands simultaneously, spreading his fingers.
One hand shimmered with golden light as thick golden arcs flickered and jumped out with a roar of thunder. In the other hand, a purple light flashed, and a small ball of purple fire silently floated into existence.
Having completed this, Han Li glanced expressionlessly at the demonic soul.
The Marquis snorted, realizing Han Li’s magical power had been restored. It was useless to press forward now.
What worried him was that Han Li had unleashed so much evil-repelling divine thunder yet had not exhausted it. This surprised him!
If he remembered correctly, before he was sealed, though the evil-repelling divine thunder dealt huge damage to their ancient demons, very few possessed such treasures. Even those who did could only release the thunder once or twice before running out of power.
Otherwise, when their ancient demons crossed over to the Human Realm, they wouldn’t have been so invincible for a time.
