Chapter 809: Giant Python Ancient Beast
The chant from Lu Weiying suddenly stopped, and he pointed at the magical flag with his hand.
The flag trembled and then suddenly unfurled, its surface radiating dazzling light.
A gust of wind, indistinguishable from the previous one, surged forth in waves, transforming into more than a dozen white misty wind dragons that charged fiercely toward the distant gray fog.
The golden Greatsword vibrated with a humming sound and shot out from its original spot, hovering restlessly above the gray mist.
It seemed the marquis of Nanlong was preparing to wait for the fog to dissipate, then unleash a thunderbolt tactic, striking fiercely the moment the demonic creature appeared.
Han Li remained silent, flicking his large sleeve. A silver shining Bowl flew out from the sleeve, immediately transforming into a ball of silver light that sped toward the distance.
This Bowl was one of the few ancient treasures Han Li had obtained after killing a Mulan spellmaster. Its power was only barely satisfactory.
Using this treasure to attack, Han Li mainly intended to test the situation.
The dozen or so wind dragons rushed ahead, plunging into the thick fog. The gray mist churned violently, with large swathes being swept up by the gusts and shredded apart.
The gray Sea of Mist was gradually weakened by the winds.
But this only lasted a moment. Suddenly, a strange hissing sound emerged deeply from within the mist.
A massive snake tail, as thick as a water jar, violently whipped out of the fog, striking one of the wind dragons. The gust instantly dissipated into smoke.
The snake tail ruthlessly struck twice more, easily crushing two more wind dragons.
The old man surnamed Lu changed his expression upon seeing this.
But he quickly formed a strange spell formation with both hands, uttering the word “Break.”
The remaining more than ten gusts of wind flashed with white light, then exploded simultaneously.
The raging wind rampaged through the Sea of Mist, blowing the gray fog into tatters in all directions. At last, the entire fog dispersed, and the silhouette of the demonic creature faintly emerged.
Enormous beyond measure, resembling a small mountain, a pitch-black body coiled there.
The golden Greatsword, which had been hovering above the gray mist for some time, seized the opportunity to descend silently, slashing toward the giant python just revealed.
Han Li, meanwhile, hastened the spell formation, causing the flying silver Bowl to radiate a great burst of silver light and suddenly swell in size to about ten feet long.
A muffled buzzing sound came forth as a wave of silver light surged from the massive orb, rushing directly at the giant python. This formed a coordinated attack with the golden Greatsword.
The giant python appeared somewhat sluggish; facing the silver wave and golden sword, it remained coiled in place, motionless.
Naturally, the marquis of Nanlong was overjoyed and hurriedly infused more spiritual power into the sword. The Greatsword even grew a bit larger.
But before the golden light could land a solid blow, the giant python’s body suddenly flickered with spiritual light without any sign, and a layer of green azure light abruptly appeared on it.
A thunderous boom echoed as the golden and azure lights intertwined, then the azure mist glowed brilliantly, instantly repelling the golden Greatsword.
This surprised all three cultivators.
The following silver light struck the azure mist as well, but also dissipated without effect.
After receiving these two attacks, the giant python seemed to awaken somewhat.
It slowly withdrew a huge head buried within its body, shook it a few times, and then looked toward Han Li and the others.
By now the gray mist had completely dissipated, and the giant python’s appearance was clearly visible to all three.
The python’s entire body was as black as iron, over fifty or sixty zhang long, unbelievably thick, covered with black scales as large as palms. Two greenish snake eyes radiated a chilling cold light.
