Chapter 752: Thunder Pearl
Han Li’s five fingers pinched with perfect precision. The flicker of azure light was instantly enveloped by the purple flames on his fingertips.
Yet Han Li felt a sudden softness at his fingertips. A tremendous force surged from the azure flame, causing his five fingers to be forcefully pushed back.
Han Li was momentarily startled, but with a thought, his palm reversed in midair to grab at the void, and the purple flames on his hand descended to cover the azure flame.
The radiance surged, and the azure flame was shrouded within the purple light.
Han Li’s arm remained motionless, his five fingers blazing with dazzling purple flames. The mingling azure and purple glow fluctuated, dimming and brightening intermittently.
After this motion lasted for a quarter of an hour, Han Li let out a light sigh and casually shook his hand. The five fingers moved away, and the purple flames on his hand vanished without a trace.
Then he looked at the still crystal-clear azure flame, a faint bitter smile appearing on his face.
The troublesome nature of this strange flame exceeded his original expectations. Although the Purple Luo Heavenly Flame could stand against it, attempting to refine this flame seemed beyond his current ability.
With that thought, Han Li pondered briefly, then raised his hand and lightly tapped the flying sword before him.
A low rumble of thunder suddenly rang out, and a dazzling golden arc burst forth from the flying sword.
The arc of electricity exploded instantly upon appearing, splitting into countless thin golden threads that descended directly toward the small azure flame.
However, with a flash of azure light, these golden threads were all absorbed completely by the fireball no bigger than a soybean, as if a mud ox had entered the sea.
The radiance surged, and the azure flame immediately expanded to the size of a chicken egg.
Seeing this, the blue light flickered sharply in Han Li’s eyes as he stared at the azure flame that had absorbed the golden arc, his expression shifting uncertainly.
After what felt like an eternity, Han Li exhaled lightly and the blue gleam in his eyes faded away. Yet a look of hesitation remained on his face.
But moments later, he shook his head, his decision firm. Opening his mouth, he drew in a breath toward the flying sword.
The purple flames on the sword instantly condensed into a thin purple thread, sucked into his mouth without any remainder.
Without the restraint of the Purple Luo Heavenly Flame, the azure flame on the sword surged, engulfing the entire flying sword.
Han Li immediately felt a muffled groan in his mind, a flash of azure energy on his face, and a hint of pain appeared.
However, Han Li quickly pushed aside the discomfort. His ten fingers flicked in succession toward the flying sword, blue light flickering, and over a dozen strands of sword qi shot forth.
Like the golden arc formed by the Evil-Repelling Divine Thunder, the azure sword qi was all absorbed by the azure flame, vanishing without a trace.
But Han Li acted as if he saw nothing, his spiritual power cycling relentlessly as waves of sword qi kept striking the azure flame again and again like moths drawn to a flame.
His magical power rapidly drained.
As a result, after absorbing so many sword qi, the azure flame seemed to grow stronger, as if nourished by the energy.
Before long, it transformed into a dazzling azure fireball, fiercely burning before Han Li.
By this time, more than a third of Han Li’s magical power had been consumed.
Yet, seeing the enormous fireball before him, Han Li actually smiled.
He halted the sword qi in his hand and beckoned toward the flying sword inside the fireball.
With a “pfft” sound, the Green Bamboo Bee Cloud Sword easily shot out of the azure flame with a spiral flight, then flew straight back into Han Li’s hand.
Han Li lowered his head to look at the sword, which was shrouded in a faint azure mist and extraordinarily clear. The azure flame on it had completely vanished, and a smile naturally spread across his face.
