Chapter 741: The Formation-Breaking Battle (6)

The snow eagle’s body naturally shattered into countless pieces along with the ice shards.

The green-clad woman, who had just appeared from the light breeze in pursuit, froze for a moment when she saw this scene. But then she let out a few cold laughs. With a step, her jade foot pressed down on the white lotus beneath her, and immediately a fierce wind rose from the lotus, blowing away the dense mist nearby completely.

Han Li narrowed his eyes, staring at the woman’s unfriendly delicate face and calmly asked, “Fellow cultivator, don’t you feel sorry for your treasure being destroyed? Or do you believe my actions simply cannot destroy this treasure?”

After saying this, Han Li casually glanced twice at the strange blue ice shards scattered unnaturally in the air.

“What do you think?” The green-clad woman replied indifferently, then pointed to the side of Han Li.

At once, the fragments of ice beside Han Li flickered with light, and countless white light points emerged from these ice shards.

Han Li was taken aback but quickly raised his hand. A strip of azure mist shot out from between his fingers, sweeping over those light points.

With a series of “puff” sounds, the white light points separated from the blue ice and transformed into milky white spiritual lights, surging toward the woman in a swarm.

After the azure mist swept past, nothing was captured.

Seeing that his first strike failed, Han Li’s expression darkened and he ceased his efforts, choosing instead to watch coldly.

The spiritual lights surged in front of the woman and immediately converged, forming a white light orb roughly the size of a human head.

The green-clad woman’s expression was calm as she formed a spell formation on the orb.

A dazzling white light flashed, and a cry of an eagle came instantly from within the orb. The orb then deformed and stretched, and in Han Li’s eyes, the snow-white giant eagle was resurrected.

Han Li frowned upon seeing this, but soon noticed that the eagle’s aura was not as vigorous as before—instead, it appeared somewhat feeble and listless.

At this, Han Li showed a thoughtful expression.

It seemed that his earlier effort to exterminate the artifact spirit was not without effect. This eagle was not an immortal being; he believed that with a few more such attacks, it would dissipate completely.

The girl saw that the white eagle looked weakened and without a word beckoned with her hand.

Immediately, the snow eagle spread its wings and soared into the sky. After a somersault in midair, it transformed into a white ribbon and gently drifted down.

It landed on the woman and then disappeared from sight.

“You suddenly stopped fleeing and want to break my magical treasure’s artifact spirit to anger me. Looks like you have some backup tricks here,” the woman said coldly, supporting a lantern in one hand and brushing a strand of hair from her shoulder.

Hearing this, Han Li was a bit surprised but after a moment of silence, his eyes flickered as he said, “Since you know, yet still chose to pursue me, it seems you have great confidence in your treasure. May I ask about the origin of this lantern? I’ve truly never heard of such an ancient treasure before.”

Having spoken, Han Li fixed his gaze on the woman’s jade-like face without blinking.

“No.” The woman’s expression hardened, and she said bluntly, “Better to remain a fool on the road!”

Then, with parted lips, she blew a breath of infant flame onto the bronze lantern she supported with one hand.

A faint cyan light slowly lit up on the lantern.

Han Li sighed and calmly flipped his hands.

A green formation flag and a red-blue formation array, already prepared, appeared in his hands simultaneously.

He cast a meaningful glance at the woman opposite, then raised the small flag high into the air. Quickly forming a spell formation, he cast it onto the flag. A low, heavy incantation followed.

The formation flag flashed once, then instantly exploded. A ball of green mist appeared out of thin air, spreading across tens of zhang in the sky.
