Chapter 738: The Formation-Breaking Battle (Part 3)
"Yes, Master. I will, as last time, hide in the shadows and strike to assist at the right moment," Little Fox said, a flash of white light shimmering over her body. After a somersault, she transformed into a beautiful young woman. Bowing to Han Li, she then revealed her alluring charm as she spoke.
"Good, just like before. When we dealt with the Chief Elder of the Moon Veil Sect last time, your timing was excellent," Han Li nodded, offering rare praise.
"Thank you for the compliment, Master. I will do my best," she replied.
Silver Moon gathered two magical treasures in hand, smiled faintly, then a yellow light flashed and she vanished into thin air before Han Li, becoming invisible.
Witnessing this, Han Li’s eyes flickered a few times, then he lifted his head to glance into the distance. A serious expression flashed across his face.
With a flash of azure light, he disappeared into the mist to one side.
At the same time, many spellmasters plunged deeper into the fog. Soon, the residual restraining formations within the Sea of Mist started activating, deadly intent flickering relentlessly.
Fortunately, most of the cultivators followed closely behind the giant rhinoceros, which was forging the path ahead. These formations did not faze the beast at all.
Whether it was fireballs, ice spikes, thunderfire, or earth spikes—various elemental attacks—striking the giant beast were like mere tickles, completely ineffective. Its black armor easily deflected all blows.
The giant rhinoceros paid no mind to these attacks and simply charged ahead relentlessly.
Any restraining barrier that appeared was smashed aside by its massive bulk, like a bamboo spear breaking through wood. It rushed straight to a clearing about a hundred zhang wide, where all the mist had been completely dispelled.
At this moment, every spellmaster following behind the beast remained unscathed.
Strangely, among these spellmasters, only four were at the foundation formation stage, and despite the presence of advanced-stage grand masters, none of the nascent soul stage grand masters were seen. It was unclear where the three green-clad women had hidden after entering the mist, or whether they had some other strange plan.
Once in the mist-free clearing, the spellmasters relaxed slightly. Several foundation formation spellmasters even gathered to discuss their next move.
Suddenly, from the thick fog ahead, two silver halberds, crackling with arcs of thunder, shot out at high speed. The continuous roaring sound filled the air.
The spellmasters were startled. Two foundation formation spellmasters immediately raised their hands, releasing a blue and a red streak of light, attempting to block the halberds.
But unexpectedly, the two silver halberds didn’t engage directly in a prolonged clash with the spellmasters’ magical treasures. Instead, after circling once, they accelerated and slanted sharply toward the giant rhinoceros.
The foundation formation spellmasters were momentarily shocked but quickly relaxed.
Given the beast’s defensive power, ordinary magical treasures shouldn’t be able to harm it.
However, what happened next stunned them. The two silver halberds didn’t attack the beast’s body directly—instead, they suddenly stopped mid-air above it. Without warning, the two weapons crossed and struck fiercely against each other.
An immense thunderous roar erupted as a thick, strange electric arc exploded outward from their clash, slashing down and striking the beast’s head.
The blue protective spiritual light surrounding the giant rhinoceros shimmered and was instantly shattered by the silver arc, which hit the black armor plates solidly.
With a rumbling sound and flashes of electricity, the giant rhinoceros remained standing unscathed. Yet it seemed enraged—howling loudly toward the sky, it suddenly opened its mouth and shot out a snow-white ice spike over a zhang long, aiming at the silver halberds in the air.
The two silver halberds showed no intention of lingering in the fight. Dodging the ice spike with a slight sidestep, they emitted another silver arc and then swiftly fled back into the thick fog.
