Chapter 716: Blood Demon Sword
“It doesn’t matter who I am. The key point is, fellow cultivator, why be so stubborn? Hand over the sealing command token for the Confined Heart Technique, and we will immediately release you. As for this so-called Blood Demon Sword, although I don’t know what it truly is, I am not afraid of it. You’d better not rely on it too much!” Han Li’s calm voice echoed steadily throughout the hall.
“It poses no threat! Do you even know what the Blood Demon Sword is to be so arrogant? Fine, I’ll kill you first, and then Senior Sister Nangong Wan will change her mind.” The cold woman stared at Han Li, pursing her lips fiercely.
Then she suddenly bit her tongue, spraying a mouthful of essence blood onto the humming blood-colored small sword. With both hands forming spell formations, the several-inch-long small sword emitted a dazzling blood light and suddenly grew to nearly three feet in length, glowing a sinister red. The bloody aura was so strong it nearly made one want to vomit.
The cold woman, however, was completely unfazed. She stretched out her delicate hand, grasping the sword’s hilt, and a brilliant spiritual light erupted from her entire body as she infused her spiritual power into the Blood Demon Sword.
“Not good, act quickly! Don’t let it attack first!” Nangong Wan’s face could no longer maintain composure, and she anxiously called out to Han Li.
She knew well how terrifying the Blood Demon Sword was and naturally didn’t believe Han Li’s claim that it was not to be feared.
Without waiting for her fully formed Reincarnation Divine Light to complete, she suddenly pointed toward the huge halo above her head.
The moon-shaped halo trembled, then began spinning rapidly. Moments later, a strange and gorgeous long rainbow shot out from the halo, resembling a splendid rainbow in the sky. In an instant, it reached the cold woman.
Seeing this, the cold woman, without even glancing, lightly tossed a triangular small banner she had taken out earlier.
The banner transformed into a thick, greenish and eerie mist, advancing forward.
After a flash of light, the rainbow plunged into the green mist with a muffled sound.
The rainbow writhed like a flood dragon emerging from the water, fiercely fighting to break free. But the green mist clung to it like a leech on bone, entangling it tightly under the cold woman’s spiritual awareness. For a time, the rainbow was unable to break through the barrier of mist.
Seeing this, Nangong Wan’s expression changed drastically, but a faint glint of satisfaction appeared on the cold woman’s face.
Then, the blood-colored long sword in the woman’s hand sliced horizontally toward Han Li’s head, as if cutting through a weighty void.
Suddenly, fierce spatial fluctuations appeared above Han Li’s head, and a huge sword energy several feet long manifested there.
The sword energy was blood-red like fresh blood, radiating an overwhelming evil qi, and it ruthlessly slashed downward.
Meanwhile, the cold woman’s face paled dramatically as if most of her energy had been drained after releasing the sword strike. With a flash of light, the Blood Demon Sword reverted to its original size and floated back into her hand.
The sword energy only descended halfway, but the surrounding spiritual energy was instantly drawn in by the blood-red sword energy as if all the waters merged into the sea.
Han Li felt his whole body tighten and was immediately restrained. He couldn’t form hand seals to cast spells or even move a single finger. He could only watch as the sword energy lazily descended.
The bloody aura surged forward.
Witnessing this, Nangong Wan’s face turned pale as snow, while a sneering expression flickered across the cold woman’s face.
Just as both women thought Han Li was doomed, Han Li stared intently at the falling blood-colored sword energy and took a deep breath.
Thunder roared loudly, golden light flashed wildly, and a faint golden electric arc appeared on the surface of Han Li’s entire body.
