Chapter 71: Clear Spirit Powder

Han Li frowned deeply, remaining silent.

He had just finished feeling the pulse, examining the tongue coating and pupils, and had initially determined that this poison was the same kind as the "Fragrant Binding Thread" he once used. It was a mixed poison. To eliminate each toxin embedded within, Han Li didn’t yet have the ability to do so thoroughly. All he could do was try the Clear Spirit Powder along with a few other unconventional methods.

Thinking this, Han Li cursed quietly at himself for not daring to detoxify it directly, yet passing the difficult problem onto other doctors, while outwardly pretending to be deep in thought and research.

After a while, Elder Zhao couldn’t help but speak up:

"You kid! Can you save Elder Li or not? Say something!"

"Elder Zhao, you’re too impatient. Don’t you see Doctor Han is trying to figure out a way? Be patient!" Before Han Li could answer, Sect Master Ma, standing nearby, put on a friendly act and mocked Elder Zhao a bit.

Elder Zhao glared, about to retort, but Han Li interrupted with a light cough, cutting off his speech.

His cough drew surprised glances from everyone in the room. At that moment, Han Li realized that mimicking an old man's cough at his young age seemed a bit ridiculous, but it didn’t matter. His purpose was served; he didn’t want to hear their quarrel any longer.

“This poison is a mixed poison, and detoxifying it is indeed troublesome. I can’t guarantee I can completely remove it, but I can try. The detoxification process will be risky and might endanger Elder Li’s life. May I proceed?” Han Li put on an expression of hesitation and said this.

For him, it would be better if they didn’t let him detoxify at all; he really wasn’t confident.

Han Li’s words made the family members exchange looks, and no one dared to agree to immediate detoxification. But except for Han Li, the other doctors seemed even less capable.

After a moment, Madam Li, Elder Li’s wife, suddenly spoke:

“How confident is Doctor Han in saving my husband?”

“Fifty percent,” Han Li answered without hesitation.

“Very well, Divine Doctor Han, please go ahead and save him. If anything happens to my husband, I will not blame you. It’s fate,” Madam Li said resolutely, surprising Han Li with her immediate decision.

“Sister-in-law, shouldn’t you think this over? This young doctor is so young, I think it’s a bit risky!” Elder Zhao was anxious, hastily trying to dissuade Madam Li’s impulsiveness.

“I’ve thought about it carefully. If Doctor Han doesn’t detoxify, my husband probably won’t make it through the night. It’s better to take the risk and try, with half a chance to save him,” Madam Li said softly, her head bowed and a little sad.

“This…” Elder Zhao was speechless.

Han Li glanced at the others; none seemed to oppose Madam Li’s decision. He then took a green porcelain bottle from his medical kit and poured out a red pill.

“Someone, please get a bowl of warm water and dissolve this medicine in it for Elder Li to take.”

“I’ll go,” a clear voice responded before Han Li finished speaking.

Zhang Xiu’er, who had been standing nearby with red eyes, answered and walked outside.

Li Feiyu was slightly stunned but immediately followed, which made Han Li secretly despise him in his heart.

Soon, Zhang Xiu’er returned with a helpless expression, empty-handed. Li Feiyu carefully carried a white porcelain bowl, following closely behind.

Seeing this scene, everyone inside couldn’t help but smile inwardly, showing expressions of anticipation for the unfolding drama. This brought a faint blush to Zhang Xiu’er’s face, and she looked a bit awkward, clearly revealing the demeanor of a young girl.

However, their arrival eased the tense atmosphere inside the room, relaxing everyone’s mood considerably.

Li Feiyu obediently handed the bowl to Madam Li.

“Doctor Han, does this water look okay to you?” Madam Li turned to seek Han Li’s opinion.
