Chapter 641: The Thirty-Year Agreement
“Master, you… you’re not serious, are you?” Silver Moon’s beautiful eyes widened, hesitating.
“You’ll find out soon enough if I’m serious or not. Now, bring that woman in for me. With her cultivation base, she won’t be able to see through your demonic fox body,” Han Li said without giving a definite answer.
“As you command, Master!” Silver Moon was full of suspicion but respectfully responded.
Han Li then turned and headed to the main hall.
After the time it took to drink a cup of tea, Silver Moon entered gracefully, followed by the somewhat haggard-looking Mu Peiling.
It seemed that this woman had not been living easy recently.
“Master, Miss Mu has been brought here,” Silver Moon said respectfully as she approached Han Li.
“Hm, noted. You may leave now,” Han Li nodded indifferently.
“Your servant takes her leave!” Silver Moon glanced sideways at the woman surnamed Mu, smiled slightly, and then exited the hall.
“Greetings, Senior Han,” Mu Peiling bowed respectfully, then silently folded her hands, showing a demeanor ready to accept any punishment Han Li might impose.
Seeing her like this, Han Li’s brow furrowed slightly. His gaze swept over her stunning and striking face.
“You should know why I summoned you. Your reckless words have left those immortal families with the impression that I, who just advanced to the nascent soul stage, am arrogant and domineering. After all, forcibly taking a foundation establishment stage female cultivator as a concubine is not something that sounds good when spread around. Of course, with my current cultivation base, the Mu and Yan families wouldn’t dare complain, and I wouldn’t mind either. But this doesn’t mean I will tolerate your audacity. You should be prepared to accept my punishment!” Han Li spoke calmly, enunciating every word clearly, without a trace of anger.
“Please forgive me, Senior. Indeed, I was reckless. But rather than marrying that Yan family man, I’d rather serve as your servant concubine,” the woman with the surname Mu lifted her delicate head, her face pale as she said.
“Hmph! Since you’ve already let slip that you’re my servant concubine, I naturally cannot stand aloof. Nor can I simply clarify this so-called ‘rumor.’ Otherwise, those immortal families would think I, a newly appointed elder of Luoyun Sect, am weak and easy to bully, unable to protect even a foundation establishment stage female cultivator. And now this rumor has likely spread throughout the entire immortal cultivation world. Tell me, how do you think I should handle you?” Han Li’s eyes flickered as he spoke slowly.
“I have nothing to say. Whatever punishment Senior imposes, Peiling will have no complaints,” the woman bit her lip lightly and said softly.
“Since the cultivators outside only see you as my servant concubine, I’ll give you two choices. One: openly be my servant concubine, but in reality serve as a maid under me for twenty years, obeying my commands. When the time is up and this matter dies down, I will restore your freedom. But as a maid, don’t expect any help from me in your cultivation path,” Han Li said in a deep voice.
“And the second choice?” The woman’s face showed a trace of disappointment upon hearing this and couldn’t help but lift her head to ask.
“The second path is to make the fake into reality, as you said. Truly become my servant concubine, serve me faithfully for life, never to betray me. I’m not petty to my partner; naturally, when I’m in a good mood, I’ll guide you a bit in cultivation. But I have to warn you upfront: becoming my servant concubine means I will impose a forbidden divine technique on you. This is to prevent you from suddenly turning traitor. After all, if you willingly become my concubine today but change your mind tomorrow, some of my secrets might fall into the wrong hands,” Han Li said coldly, staring at her.
“I…” Mu Peiling was stunned by Han Li’s words, then her expression flickered as if carefully weighing his terms.
