Chapter 604: Green Trace Swamp
Seeing that Han Li truly agreed to help, Kui Huan naturally felt extremely pleased. After setting the time and place with Han Li, he left with a beaming smile.
After spending the night, early the next morning, Han Li activated the forbidden law of his secluded mansion, then left the medicinal garden and headed straight for the agreed meeting place.
He was riding a flying sword magical artifact, moving at a moderate pace.
It was quite funny, actually. He hadn’t used a magical artifact since he reached foundation formation many years ago.
This upper-rank artifact was the most inconspicuous one he could find after rummaging through his storage pouch with great effort.
As for any worse artifacts, he simply couldn’t find any.
After flying for about fifteen minutes, Han Li landed on a small hill that looked relatively tall. This was the very meeting place arranged with Kui Huan and the others.
The place was still empty, but Han Li showed no sign of impatience since he had arrived earlier than the agreed time.
Without hesitation, Han Li found a clean rock on the hilltop, sat down cross-legged, and began to circulate his energy, breathing in the heaven and earth spiritual energy.
After about an hour passed and the faint fiery red morning sun appeared on the horizon, several black dots showed up from a different direction, slowly moving this way.
Seeing their flying speed, Han Li rubbed his nose and smiled wryly to himself.
After a while, these people finally arrived at the top of the small hill, moving at what Han Li perceived as snail-like speed.
“Junior Brother Han, you arrived even earlier than us. That’s really thoughtful of you,” Kui Huan called out cheerfully to Han Li while still hovering in the air. Beneath his feet was a disc-shaped magical artifact, a low-level flying magical artifact uniformly provided to disciples of the Luoyun Sect. No wonder their speed was so slow.
As he spoke, Kui Huan led the others to land.
“There’s nothing special. I just got here myself. Are these the entire group for this trip?” Han Li stood up from the rock and glanced at the other three men.
“Hehe, for catching that snow cloud fox, five people are just right to set up the five elements maze formation. The more people, the fewer spirit stones we get. These three are Senior Brother Ma, Senior Brother Xi, and Senior Brother Wang,” Kui Huan said with a smile, pointing to the others and introducing them to Han Li one by one.
The three men were relatively young. The oldest was Senior Brother Wang, around thirty-five or thirty-six years old, with a refined appearance and flowing white robes, exuding an elegant demeanor. Among them, he was also the most cultivated, about the eleventh layer of the qi refining stage.
The other two youths were a bit shorter and stocky, and the other had a pale golden complexion. Both were about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old with cultivation levels at the tenth layer of the qi refining stage.
“We’ve all heard about Junior Brother Han’s situation. This time, we really owe you for your generous help. Otherwise, we would have been powerless against that demonic fox,” Senior Brother Wang said with a smile once Kui Huan finished the introductions, giving a friendly and warm impression.
The other two also looked at Han Li kindly. It seemed that Han Li’s willingness to lend spirit stones earlier had left them with a very good impression.
“You’re too polite, Senior Brother. I only wanted to earn some more spirit stones,” Han Li politely replied.
“These spirit stones may not mean much to foundation establishment stage cultivators, but to us qi refining stage disciples, they’re not something we can easily lend to strangers. That alone makes Junior Brother Han a trustworthy person! I consider myself fortunate to have befriended you,” the white-robed cultivator named Wang shook his head with sincerity.
Han Li nodded silently in his heart and scrutinized him a little more.
Senior Brother Wang’s demeanor, cultivation, and character were all extraordinary. It seemed clear that he was the leader of this group.
