Chapter 582: Stone Talisman and Beast Crystal (Part 1)
Han Li stood alone on the empty stone platform, gazing at the extremely strange circular stone disc before him, a look of surprise flickering across his face.
The disc was about three meters in diameter, lying flat, engraved with some peculiar patterns and many seemingly profound talismanic runes. At this moment, although no one was casting spells here, a faint purple mist still rose gently from its surface, intertwining with the purple clouds hovering over the village.
Han Li himself had considerable expertise in formations, so he narrowed his eyes and began studying the stone disc carefully.

Remaining cautiously alert, Han Li turned around without revealing any emotion.
Standing before him was a long-bearded white-haired elder. His face was deeply wrinkled, but his eyes were sharp and gleaming as he smiled warmly at Han Li.
“Are you also an immortal cultivator?” Han Li guessed hesitantly, unable to use his spiritual awareness.
“I am Bao Huanzi from the Five Dragon Sea. You must be one of the two new cultivators who just arrived,” the elder replied with a smile.
“Five Dragon Sea?” Han Li’s heart stirred at the name. The elder had mentioned it before. He felt somewhat interested.
“I am Han, a rogue cultivator from the Chaotic Star Sea,” Han Li said, his expression relaxing.
“Chaotic Star Sea? There was once a fellow cultivator from there here, but sadly he perished during a mission, overwhelmed by a powerful yin beast. However, there are very few cultivators in the immortal cultivation world who specialize in talismans. Seeing how focused you are on this stone talisman, your skill in that area must be quite high!” The elder sighed before shifting the topic.
“Stone talisman? Are you referring to this circular disc?” Han Li showed a puzzled expression. This time, it was genuine; it was the first time he had heard that term.
“Hehe! No wonder you don’t know it. Stone talismans and Jade Talismans are probably lost in most places by now. Only some sects in the Five Dragon Sea still know how to make these ancient talismans,” the long-bearded elder said proudly, his wrinkles twitching as he squinted.
Hearing this, the strange look on Han Li’s face disappeared.
“I truly haven’t heard of stone or Jade talismans before. But I did study talismans for a while, so I was surprised to see talismanic runes engraved on this stone disc. Your words have cleared up some of my doubts. However, it seems this stone talisman also bears characteristics of a formation. Could I be mistaken?” Han Li asked with a slight frown.
“I am truly impressed that you are skilled in both formations and talismanic arts! You are not mistaken. This sandalwood talisman is somewhat different from a genuine stone talisman. To harness the power of darkness and shadows, some formation-like modifications were specially made. It has partial effects of both talismans and formations, though its power is greatly reduced as a result.” The elder showed mild surprise before bursting into hearty laughter.
Han Li nodded thoughtfully, then glanced back at the stone disc and suddenly asked,
“From what the elder said, you use the power of darkness and shadows here by combining Dark Shadow Beast Crystals with formations to cast spells. But I do not see any beast crystals embedded in this stone talisman. Could there be some other secret about this stone talisman?”
