Chapter 561: Borrowing a Head

“Hmph! That woman even took the young lord’s cultivation manual back then. With such skills, it’s not surprising. Once I break this formation, I’ll need the help of you fellow cultivators,” the elder said, a flash of anger crossing his face before he returned to a calm expression.

“Don’t worry. Even if she had three heads and six arms, this time she won’t be able to escape,” the skull-headed man chuckled with a carefree look.

Hearing this, the elder also felt confident and stopped hesitating. Suddenly, he rubbed his hands together, and dazzling yellow blades surged forth.

“Break!” the elder barked, and the yellow blades transformed into a brilliant rainbow, shooting toward the surface of Stone Mountain.

A rumbling boom echoed. The mountain’s surface, like a still pond struck by a giant stone, rippled with white light. The scenery changed abruptly, revealing a vibrant green mountain filled with dense spiritual energy and beautiful scenery.

“What is this?” The skull-headed man and the thug gaped in astonishment at the sudden change.

“Heh heh, this is our sect’s secret formation, the ‘Soul Restraint Formation.’ It’s one of the few formations in the world capable of concealing spiritual energy. The seductive woman’s cultivation base isn’t strong enough, so she can only hide part of her spiritual energy. If our sect’s ancestor personally set up the formation, it would be easy to prevent any spiritual energy leakage,” the elder named Ding said with pride as he glanced at the two.

Han Li was also very surprised. After hearing the elder’s explanation, his heart stirred slightly.

If he could get his hands on the method to set up this Soul Restraint Formation, his future secluded mansion would be much safer.

At that moment, as the illusion before them vanished, a stone gate emitting a faint green glow appeared halfway up the mountain. This must be Yuan Yao’s secluded mansion.

“Let’s make our move,” the elder said with a flash of killing intent.

The skull-headed man nodded and spat out a black strange blade, half sword, half knife, very peculiar. The thug shouted and released a chilling Mountain-Breaking Axe from his hand, which startled Han Li. It was rare to see such a massive weapon used as a magical treasure.

“Fellow cultivator, why...” The elder also spat out a white flying sword, but seeing Han Li remain motionless, he grew puzzled.

Han Li smiled slightly, about to say something to brush it off casually, when the stone gate suddenly opened by itself, and a green light flew out.

The elder saw this and stopped speaking. With a whoosh, he and the others all turned their gaze toward it.

The green light spiraled and then dimmed not far from the gate, revealing a stunning beauty dressed in black clothes, her skin as white as snow.

She smiled gracefully, her autumn-like eyes flickering, each glance full of charm and allure.

It was Yuan Yao, whom Han Li had parted with at the Void Heaven Hall.

Though many years had passed without meeting, her appearance was unchanged, and even more breathtakingly enchanting.

However, when she swept her gaze over the group and fixed her eyes on the elder of Qingyang Sect, her delicate face changed drastically, cloaked suddenly in a chilling coldness, turning frost-like.

“Fellow cultivators, coming to a young lady’s mansion, could it be you have some instructions for me?” Realizing her charming techniques had no effect on the cultivators before her, Yuan Yao’s face darkened as she spoke coldly, ignoring the elder entirely.

The elder Ding’s heart surged with rage, but being scheming and cold, he did not show anger openly. Instead, he gave a sinister smile and said, “Seductive woman! At this point, it’s useless to pretend ignorance. You harmed our sect’s young lord and took our treasures. Do you think you can escape today?”

Yuan Yao said nothing but her bright eyes flickered as she carefully assessed the cultivation bases of the group.
