Chapter 541: Jade Flame Wine
“Fellow cultivator, please have a seat!” The riftwind beast lounged arrogantly on a chair and beckoned Han Li over with a wave of his hand.
Han Li said nothing and obediently sat opposite this demonic cultivator.
“Pardon my rudeness. I haven’t even asked your honorable surname yet. I am Feng Xi,” the riftwind beast said gently, narrowing his eyes.
“My surname is Li,” Han Li replied slowly after a moment of hesitation.
“Heh, so you’re Daoist Li. You must have some confusion in your heart. In fact, if any other human cultivator appeared before me, although I’m not of the Sea Tribe, I’d probably kill them with one swipe of my claw. There’s no harmony between humans and us demonic cultivators in the first place,” Feng Xi said with a half-smile, touching the silver crown on his head.
“Then, what exactly is it that makes me special in your eyes, senior?” Han Li felt a chill run down his spine but forced a smile as he asked.
“You’re only mid foundation formation, yet you boldly ventured this deep, relying on a marvelous qi suppression technique, no doubt!” Feng Xi’s eyes flashed green as he spoke slowly.
“Qi suppression technique?” Han Li was startled, immediately recalling the nameless incantation from the beast-hide manuscript.
“Exactly. Your qi refining cultivation technique looks somewhat familiar to me—it’s something I once saw from an old acquaintance. Strangely, though, this set of techniques should be a secret passed down only to that friend. How does a human cultivator like you know it?” Feng Xi asked with a strange expression.
Han Li naturally wouldn’t easily mention the beast-hide manuscript. Not knowing how to answer, he fell silent.
Seeing Han Li’s reaction, Feng Xi leaned back slightly and chuckled.
“Fellow cultivator, no need to worry. That old acquaintance of mine passed away years ago; I have no intention to force you to explain. I’m simply curious that a human can use our demonic secret arts. The main reason I haven’t attacked you is because you cultivate an extremely pure wood-element cultivation technique. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be sitting here alive.”
The reason the other party hadn’t made a move was because of cultivation technique attributes. Han Li was greatly surprised and showed a stunned expression.
Feng Xi didn’t say anything more after seeing Han Li’s shock. Instead, with a flick of his hands, a white light flashed, and an ancient golden pot appeared on one palm, while a delicate white jade cup materialized on the other.
He then lifted the pot and poured an emerald-green liquid into the jade cup. An intoxicating and rich aroma instantly spread throughout the hall.
The humanoid demon beast took a deep breath, showing a look of obsession on his face, but with a light flick of his finger, the jade cup smoothly slid over to Han Li.
“Here, Daoist Li, try some of my self-made Jade Flame Wine. It takes over a hundred years to brew a batch of this true spirit wine. It also slightly enhances cultivation. Perhaps you can use this opportunity to break through your current bottleneck!” Feng Xi stared at Han Li with a meaningful expression.
Han Li was startled at this and looked down at the liquid in the cup, feeling a wave of shock in his heart.
The other party had even seen through the bottleneck in his cultivation base at a glance—truly a powerful spiritual awareness.
But Han Li didn’t quite believe that just by drinking this wine, he could break through the bottleneck.
He had swallowed countless pills to refine his cultivation. If he could rely on pill power to break through, he would have advanced to the ninth level of the blue origin sword technique long ago. Would he be stuck until now?
Besides, without knowing the other’s intentions, how could he dare to drink the wine casually?
With these thoughts swirling, a hesitant expression appeared on Han Li’s face.
A cold glint flashed in Feng Xi’s eyes, as if he saw through Han Li’s thoughts, and his expression suddenly darkened.
