Chapter 492: Qian Blue Pearl

Seeing how powerful the Asura Flame was, Han Li’s expression changed several times as he inhaled a cold breath.

However, once the gray-white flames had completely consumed the mysterious bone, they reformed into small, delicate sparks that gently floated in the air.

At that moment, whether due to the death of the mysterious bone causing an anomaly, all the descending gray-white sparks suddenly emitted a black-green aura. Then, after a few fine black arcs of electricity flickered, the sparks instantly transformed into blue, restoring the form of the Qian Blue Ice Flame.

Suddenly, Han Li felt the surroundings tighten. The entire space filled with a faint blue chill, and an icy cold sensation swept over him. Transparent thin sheets of ice began to form all over his body, as if the entire light shield was about to be completely frozen over.

Han Li couldn’t help but be shocked!

He hurriedly injected spiritual power into the Spiritual Symbiosis Device, and the scorching white light instantly pushed back the surrounding cold air, preventing it from coming within half a foot.

But without the mysterious bone controlling the Qian Blue Ice Flame, it seemed that the flame was now truly unleashing its power. In just a short moment, the entire platform froze solid into a massive iceberg. Only Han Li’s white light was stubbornly resisting the freeze.

However, the rapid loss of magical power caused Han Li to inwardly curse his misfortune.

Now Han Li finally understood: the Qian Blue Ice Flame under the control of the mysterious bone had only shown a fraction of its true power during its earlier attack. Perhaps because the mysterious bone’s cultivation base was insufficient or it had never been fully refined, the flame’s true destructive force had been held back.

If the Qian Blue Ice Flame had erupted with its terrifying power from the very beginning, the mysterious bone wouldn’t have needed to fuse with any Asura Sacred Fire; it could have easily destroyed him multiple times over.

By this logic, the even more powerful Asura Sacred Fire couldn’t possibly have shown only a fraction of its true strength either — it must have hidden at least ninety percent of its power!

Han Li was shocked as these thoughts ran through his mind, and he roughly pieced together the truth of the situation.

However, he certainly wouldn’t let himself be so unjustly killed by ownerless Qian Blue Ice Flame after finally extinguishing the mysterious bone.

Grimly biting his teeth, Han Li placed one hand on a spiritual beast pouch at his waist.

Inside that pouch were thousands upon thousands of golddevourer worms.

At this moment, he could only rely on their devouring ability, hoping to take the risk to escape.

But whether or not he succeeded, those golddevourer worms, still not fully evolved, definitely couldn’t withstand such terrifying extreme cold. One careless move and they would be wiped out!

Yet now, for the sake of his life, Han Li couldn’t afford to care about that.

His palm moved, about to open the mouth of the spiritual beast pouch.

But then another anomaly occurred!

The Qian Blue Ice Flames floating around suddenly flashed rapidly several times and emitted a clear ringing sound. As if receiving some command, they simultaneously shot up into the sky, where all the ice flames condensed and fused into one.

In a moment, a misty blue light orb appeared in the air. Within this orb was a blue ice pearl the size of a fist.

At once, the iceberg chill that had filled the platform vanished completely, as if it had never existed.

Han Li, who had already opened the pouch halfway, was stunned. But soon a look of delight appeared on his face.

He disregarded the strange transformation of the Qian Blue Ice Flame — this was his chance to escape!

Now the blue ice pearl slowly fell from the sky, passing right in front of Han Li’s eyes.

Han Li watched the pearl, his eyes flashing with a strange light. His face showed a hint of deep thought.

Suddenly, he raised his hand. A faint residual arc of electricity from his body shot out from his single hand and wrapped around the ice pearl, controlling its descent.
