Chapter 467: Acquiring the Treasure

Han Li was naturally bold, but even after a glance, he felt his mind reel, a strong dizziness washing over him.

Suppressing the discomfort in his heart, he stared for a moment longer, but still came away empty-handed.

Although his spiritual awareness was powerful, the depth here was beyond his ability to probe.

Without hesitation, Han Li directly headed toward the pavilion.

As he got closer, the pavilion’s grand stature became apparent—it was at least three to four times the size of an ordinary building.

The entrance was a semi-circular archway, about two zhang high, sealed off by a layer of yellow light veil.

When Han Li arrived at the door, he examined the light veil.

Tilting his head slightly in thought, a flash of azure light appeared in his hand—a sword light about a chi long.

With a gentle tap of his finger, the azure sword light lightly prodded the veil.

Ripples spread, and the sword light easily pierced through, without the slightest obstruction.

This surprised Han Li a bit, but he quickly retracted the sword light and extended his arm into the veil.

It felt somewhat cool, as if being enveloped by a liquid.

Without further hesitation, Han Li leapt forward; his body passed through the veil and disappeared.

But once through the archway and standing inside the pavilion, Han Li was stunned.

Before him were rows upon rows of round jade pedestals, each several zhang high. These pedestals varied in size and were made of white, translucent fine jade, densely packed in front of him.

On the stone platforms sparkled colorful auras, and semi-circular light shields of various colors were inverted over the tops, each seemingly containing something inside.

Han Li’s eyes narrowed slightly, revealing a trace of excitement.

The moment he saw the three characters "Treasure Light Pavilion," he guessed he might have stumbled upon a stroke of luck—this pavilion likely concealed ancient treasures.

However, the pavilion was empty now; it seemed those who had passed this way earlier had either already chosen their ancient treasures and been transported out or had gone up to the second floor.

Thinking this, Han Li carefully examined the pedestals and indeed noticed a few without the semi-circular light shields, appearing empty.

But where was the staircase leading to the second floor?

Han Li was puzzled. After scanning around several times, he still found nothing!

His curiosity piqued, he searched repeatedly until his gaze landed on a more peculiar jade pedestal.

This pedestal was at the back of the first floor, isolated in a corner, extremely flat, with deep and obscure runes carved around its edges.

After circling his eyes over it a few times, Han Li, relying on his knowledge of formations, judged it to be a rudimentary teleportation formation of an unusual shape.

After gazing deeply at it, he withdrew his eyes and slowly walked along the rows of pedestals, browsing the ancient treasures upon them.

But as he examined one after another, his brow furrowed.

"These ancient treasures are rather subpar, aren’t they?"

After looking at just a few dozen pedestals, Han Li lost all interest. Folding his arms, he muttered to himself with a puzzled expression.

The items on these pedestals, despite the name "ancient treasures," were mostly long spears or halberds fashioned in an archaic style.

Though they radiated colorful treasure auras, Han Li knew these relics were akin to the flying swords or throwing knives cultivators use nowadays, typically lacking any extraordinary magical abilities.

Of course, that didn’t mean they were completely useless!

But having possessed magical treasures like the green bamboo bee cloud sword, Han Li naturally found these sorts of things beneath his notice. He hoped to find something like the flower basket — an ancient treasure with special magical abilities.

Still, fearing he might miss something, Han Li mustered the energy to inspect every jade pedestal.

In the end, he sighed deeply and without hesitation approached the teleportation formation.
