Chapter 444: The Woman in the Black Robe

The azure greatsword, struggling fiercely in the grasp of the three-headed tiger demon, suddenly ceased its trembling at Han Li’s gesture through the void, though the green glow on its surface flickered erratically.

The tiger demon, exhaling thick black ghost mist, was momentarily stunned by this. But before it could react further, dozens of slender, pale golden arcs of electricity burst forth from the broad blade of the greatsword.

These arcs flashed with incredible speed, instantly crawling over the tiger demon’s massive furry hands and then rapidly spreading across its enormous body, forming a golden net of light that trapped the monster within.

Seeing this, the three heads of the beast all showed expressions of terror simultaneously. Yet before it could make any move, the electric net enveloping it exploded with a burst, triggered by Han Li’s soft utterance of the word “swift.”

The scorching, blinding white light completely engulfed the huge form, obliterating it from view.

Even Zi Ling and the woman in the black robe, who were engaged in a separate battle nearby, couldn’t help but turn to look in astonishment. Meanwhile, their opponents — the “weiwu” ghosts and two ghost yakshas — showed confusion in their eyes for a moment before suddenly giving up the fight and fleeing.

Zi Ling and the immortal maiden both startled, hesitating briefly before watching helplessly as the demons fled into the ghost mist.

Only the wailing soul beast seized the opportunity. It snorted forcefully, releasing a burst of radiant light that swept up one of the fleeing evil spirits unawares, swallowing it whole.

The white light dimmed after a short while and returned to normal.

The tiger demon, however, remained standing in place, motionless, its three heads still frozen in terror — an expression that didn’t change in the slightest.

Then a cold dark wind blew past, and the creature’s gigantic body turned into flying ashes, vanishing without a trace.

Only the greatsword and a fist-sized tricolor orb floated in midair — the orb shimmering continuously with interwoven shades of gray, black, and green.

Han Li exhaled deeply, then gestured with his hand. The azure greatsword gave a low hum before scattering into eight flying swords rushing back toward him.

However, four of these suddenly flickered with azure light mid-air and became useless.

The other four obediently flew into Han Li’s body, falling into a dormant state.

The recent electric arcs had completely exhausted the “evil-repelling divine thunder” power stored in the swords, necessitating a long recuperation.

Han Li glanced at the strange orb, then flickered several times before appearing before it. He focused his mind on the object, pondering deeply.

After a moment, a grim expression flashed across his face. With a single flip of his hand, another azure flying sword appeared.

Then, with a flash of light, Han Li ruthlessly swung the sword down in a fierce slash.

With a “bang,” the orb was sliced in two, and three jets of black energy shot out, desperately trying to escape.

Han Li flicked his finger with his other hand, sending three small fireballs—each the size of an egg—flying out.

With three sharp “puff” sounds, the black energies were struck by the fireballs, emitting faint wails before being completely consumed by flames.

These demon ghosts were extremely crafty—they had hidden their main souls inside the magical treasure, hoping to lure him into grabbing it. If he had done so, he would have faced a fierce battle for possession!

Still, the fusion tiger demon was wiped out by the “evil-repelling divine thunder” on the flying swords—something Han Li had predicted all along.

After all, with the great reputation of the golden thunder bamboo and the “evil-repelling” property specifically effective against demons and their dark magic, four flying swords simultaneously unleashing full-strength thunder should be enough to eliminate even a demon ghost. Otherwise, it just wouldn’t make sense.
