Chapter 401: Heavenly Thunder Bamboo
Han Li left the teahouse but did not immediately summon his magical treasure to fly back to his secluded mansion. Instead, he walked along the street for a while, then suddenly turned to the back of another shop, a place not far from the teahouse.
Afterward, he closed his eyes lightly, expressionless and motionless.
After a while, Han Li’s expression changed slightly; he furrowed his brow and then opened his eyes.
Just now, he had secretly sent his spiritual awareness back into the teahouse, hoping to hear what they would say after he left. But unexpectedly, as soon as his spiritual awareness approached the private room in the teahouse, it was blocked by a layer of a restrictive formation.
This restriction was not very sophisticated. If Han Li relied on the strength of his spiritual awareness to break through forcibly, it would be easy to shatter the formation.
However, that would cause too much noise and defeat the very purpose of secretly spying with spiritual awareness. Naturally, Han Li would not do something so counterproductive, so he withdrew his spiritual awareness.
“It seems the Miaoyin Sect is truly no ordinary faction; for now, there’s no opening to exploit,” he thought.
With that, Han Li opened his mouth and spat out a small green sword about an inch long, then rode the sword and soared into the sky.
Back at his mansion, Han Li took out the storage bags containing demonic beast materials from his secret chamber. To be cautious, he also summoned Quhun, and together they left the secluded mansion.
This round of back and forth took Han Li several hours.
Fortunately, when he returned to the teahouse with Quhun, the middle-aged man who served Madam Fan was already standing at the entrance, eagerly waiting.
When he saw Han Li return, he ran inside with a beaming expression.
Han Li knew the man was reporting to Madam Fan, so he didn’t pay much attention and, together with Quhun, followed inside unhurriedly.
At the private room of the teahouse, the young girl and the middle-aged man were already standing respectfully at the door, waiting for Han Li.
“Madam and the elder are waiting for you, Senior!” the girl said respectfully, but as she spoke, she glanced curiously at Quhun.
Han Li did not introduce Quhun and only nodded before entering the room without hesitation. Quhun followed closely.
The girl hesitated for a moment but dared not ask further.
Inside the room, Madam Fan had already put on her veil again. When she saw Han Li enter, her eyes brightened as she gracefully welcomed him.
“Senior Han, you came so quickly! I thought we would have to wait a bit longer. Oh, and who might this be…” Madam Fan’s face was originally smiling, but when she saw Quhun standing behind Han Li, she was momentarily stunned.
“This is my friend Quhun. After hearing about this matter, he wanted to come and take a look. Madam won’t mind, right?” Han Li laughed lightly, brushing it off.
“Of course not. Please, both of you have a seat!” Madam Fan’s beautiful eyes swept over Quhun’s ugly face, and seeing his cold expression, she smiled sweetly.
Inwardly, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thankful she hadn’t seriously thought of taking action earlier. If Han Li suddenly had a core formation stage helper show up, her plan would have failed and likely drawn a powerful enemy.
Still, her desire to win over Han Li grew even stronger.
“All the materials are inside. Madam can take a look first!” Han Li didn’t beat around the bush. As soon as he sat down, he threw the two storage bags of materials onto the tea table in front of her.
Madam Fan couldn’t hide the joy on her face. After repeatedly expressing thanks, she took the storage bags and inspected them briefly with her spiritual awareness before casually passing them to Elder Zhao standing nearby.
The elder accepted the items calmly and began taking out each material item by item to scrutinize and verify their authenticity.
Because there were many materials, the process naturally took some time. During this, Madam Fan chatted warmly with Han Li, and in her words, she subtly tried to pry into the origin of the materials.
