Chapter 376: Snow Spirit Water and Heavenly Fire Elixir

As the two women and three persistent male cultivators entered a nearby shop, Han Li and Quhun slipped out from another room.

Glancing at the shop the two women had entered, Han Li displayed a thoughtful expression.

After observing for a while, he led Quhun down another street.

At first glance, the streets here looked no different from ordinary mortal shops outside. Rows of square-shaped buildings of similar size lined both sides of the street, with signboards and hanging flags advertising a variety of shops: Wu Family Grocery, Chen’s Magical Artifact Shop, Five Elements Refining Shop, Huo Yang Materials… and many more.

Han Li didn't enter any of these shops but instead walked straight toward the center of Tiandu Street.

Based on his past experience, the big, reputable shops would definitely be located in the prime spots — that should be just below the Cloud Dream Pavilion. Han Li wanted to get closer to see what peculiarities this floating pavilion held.

With this thought, he quickened his pace a little.

Meanwhile, cultivators were coming and going from various shops, making it seem that Tiandu Street attracted quite a few immortal cultivators.

After walking several hundred zhang, Han Li knew he had found the right place.

Before him suddenly appeared a small square covering several acres.

The plaza was paved with long strips of pure white fine jade, looking exquisitely luxurious. The center was empty except for the Cloud Dream Pavilion floating in midair. From a distance, its gates were tightly shut, showing no intention of hosting visitors.

Surrounding this not-so-large square stood six small pavilions of different styles, evenly spaced, almost forming a standoff arrangement. Apart from these six shops, no other store dared to intrude upon this square.

Seeing this, Han Li stared carefully at the floating pavilion for a moment, then focused his gaze on the six pavilions on the ground.

“Mountain and Sea Pavilion, White Water Tower, Jade Ring Residence…” Han Li muttered the names of these six shops to himself while continuously watching the cultivators entering and exiting, hoping to choose the busiest pavilion to enter.

But moments later, Han Li frowned and silently muttered several complaints.

It turned out that the flow of people in and out of the six pavilions was almost the same. Most cultivators would visit all six in turn before reluctantly or excitedly leaving.

Frustrated, Han Li focused again on the six pavilions.

Only now did he notice something strange: the banners hanging outside each pavilion bore embroidered symbols with special meanings.

The banner of Mountain and Sea Pavilion showed a blue beast; White Water Tower's bore a golden small sword; Jade Ring Residence displayed a green lingzhi mushroom…

Seeing this, Han Li faintly realized that he might have made a mistake.

To confirm his suspicion, Han Li decided to approach the closest pavilion, White Water Tower, with Quhun silently following behind.

Upon entering the main hall of White Water Tower, he found it not small — about twenty to thirty zhang in length and width.

Surrounding the hall were rows of white jade shelves holding nearly a hundred sparkling magical artifacts. But Han Li could tell at a glance that even the best of these were only mid-tier magical artifacts, not worthy of his attention.

In front of the shelves, four or five neatly dressed attendants in blue greeted seven or eight cultivators who were selecting and recommending some artifacts.

As soon as Han Li and Quhun entered, a sharp-eyed attendant immediately recognized Quhun as a foundation establishment stage cultivator. Though he couldn't sense Quhun’s exact level, his eyes lit up, and he quickly approached.

After a deep bow to Quhun, the attendant cleverly asked,

“Respected sir, are you looking for any magical artifacts? I suppose ordinary ones cannot meet your standards. Why don’t you follow me to the side hall where the shopkeeper can show you some newly arrived top-tier magical artifacts?”
