Chapter 364: Lonely Island, Great Vessel
“My head feels so heavy!” This was Han Li’s first sensation after waking up.
When he and Quhun began teleporting within the yellow light, he suddenly felt an enormous pressure pressing down on him. Fortunately, the Great Relocation Command Token in his hand emitted a faint azure glow in time, immediately dispelling the pressure. However, the little spiritual power inside him began to drain rapidly into the command token.
But Han Li had already been prepared for this and wasn’t overly alarmed. The changes he was experiencing had been mentioned in the texts about the Great Relocation Command Token that he had read before.
In an instant, the magical artifact stopped absorbing spiritual power, and the yellow light faded away. He and Quhun had arrived in a pitch-black place.
The light was so dim that Han Li couldn’t see his surroundings clearly. But it was quiet all around; there seemed to be no one else present. This realization eased Han Li’s mind. He lifted his leg, ready to step out of the magic formation.
However, just as his foot crossed the threshold, he felt the world spin wildly. His legs went weak, and he collapsed to the ground, nearly vomiting from the discomfort.
Han Li knew this was the aftereffect of long-distance teleportation. His intense reaction was entirely because his cultivator level was too low.
But he couldn’t dwell on that now. Instead, he hurriedly commanded Quhun to destroy the teleportation formation.
Quhun expressionlessly drew his silver Greatsword and relentlessly hacked one corner of the formation into shreds.
Seeing this, Han Li finally relaxed completely.
Han Li sat on the ground and rested for a while until he adapted to the darkness.
At this point, he vaguely sensed that they were inside an abandoned stone house. It was utterly dark and filled with a strong stench of decay.
He casually reached down and felt a thick layer of dust on the ground.
This made Han Li feel even more at ease. At least, for now, there was no immediate danger.
After a while, once the discomfort subsided, Han Li slowly stood up, supporting himself with one hand.
He then pulled out a piece of moonlight stone from his storage pouch, and the room became clearly visible.
Just as he had suspected, this was a stone house long deserted. The surroundings were completely empty, with only a stone door blocking the path ahead.
Han Li glanced back at the destroyed teleportation formation and hesitated briefly before walking to the stone door and giving it a firm push.
To his surprise, the door easily swung open.
“What is this place…” Han Li exclaimed in astonishment.
Ahead was a long flight of bluish stone stairs, stretching upwards endlessly—or at least very far. The stairs were also covered in dust, clearly untouched for a long time.
Han Li looked back at the so-called stone house and realized it was merely a small mountain rock cave.
After some thought, Han Li shook his head wryly and slowly ascended the stairs, with Quhun closely following behind.
The stairs seemed long, but after turning a corner, Han Li saw the exit.
A massive boulder blocked the circular opening.
Han Li frowned and immediately ordered Quhun, “Split it open.”
Han Li stepped back a pace.
Quhun strode forward boldly, raised the silver Greatsword high, and, as if slicing tofu, cleaved the boulder into several pieces in no time.
Bright sunlight poured in from outside, accompanied by the fresh scent of a gentle sea breeze.
Han Li took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
Since arriving, he hadn’t dared to breathe deeply due to the foul odor in the air, holding his breath the entire time. Now, he could finally relax.
But he was a little puzzled—the air here was somewhat humid and carried a faint salty taste. This was very different from any air he had encountered before!
Curious, Han Li walked past Quhun, squinting against the blazing sun as he looked around.
What he saw left him stunned.
Before him stretched endless expanses of deep blue water, as far as the eye could see.
