Chapter 350: Instant Kill
Han Li stared at the two without changing his expression, saying not a word. But in his heart, he was very clear that these two were most likely closely related to the destruction of Qi Yunxiao’s residence.
Sure enough, the young man who had not spoken broke the silence first and shouted:
"Who are you, sir, and what is your relationship with that Qi fellow?"
Han Li only cast him a cold glance and then ignored him, turning his attention instead to the elder. Clearly, the true person in charge here, in terms of cultivation base, was this elder.
The young man was furious that Han Li was so dismissive of him. Although he knew Han Li was only a foundation establishment stage cultivator, their family was one of the renowned families in Yuanwu Country. He was not used to such treatment. Moreover, because of the matter with Qi Yunxiao, his anger was full, and after grinding his teeth, he was about to unleash the magical artifact in his hand.
But as soon as he moved his arm, it was grabbed by the elder beside him.
"Wait! We don’t know anything about this person’s background yet. Even if you want to act, you should make sure first!" The elder said calmly.
But after saying this, he glanced at the quhun behind Han Li with some confusion. He did not sense the aura of a living person from it, yet it emitted magical power fluctuations, which puzzled him.
Han Li's eyes narrowed slightly upon hearing this.
This elder, like himself, was a mid foundation establishment stage cultivator. Saying such words clearly showed that he had realized Han Li was not easy to deal with and had some reservations.
"Is this place destroyed by you?" Han Li asked calmly.
"What is your relationship with that Qi Yunxiao? Are you from the Qi Family?" The elder didn’t answer Han Li’s question but countered with one of his own.
Han Li furrowed his brows, realizing the other party wouldn’t answer honestly. He decided to try a different approach.
"Looks like neither of us wants to answer the other's questions. How about this: you answer one question of mine, and I’ll answer one of yours? This way, we won’t waste time." Han Li said, raising an eyebrow.
The elder was stunned for a moment, then after rolling his eyes a few times, he agreed wholeheartedly.
"Since this is your proposal, you can ask first, friend," Han Li said indifferently.
"Are you from the Qi Family?" The elder didn’t hold back and immediately asked.
"No!" Han Li answered without hesitation.
At Han Li’s firm reply, both the elder and the young man were momentarily stunned, suspicion flashing in their eyes.
"Is Qi Yunxiao alive or dead?" Han Li asked leisurely.
"He’s still alive!" The elder hesitated but answered.
Hearing the word "alive," Han Li immediately felt relieved.
"What is your relationship with Qi Yunxiao?" The elder cautiously asked again.
"Some business dealings," Han Li replied coldly.
"Business dealings?" The elder’s eyes flickered with surprise.
"Where is Qi Yunxiao now?" Han Li asked casually, though his heart was extremely concerned.
"I can’t tell you that!" The elder refused without hesitation.
"Then I’ll ask another question. Why did you attack Qi Yunxiao?" Han Li asked without anger.
"He killed people from our Fu Family. Shouldn’t he die?" The young man sneered and cut in.
The elder frowned, his face showing displeasure but said nothing.
"Fu Family!"
Han Li immediately recalled those qi refining stage cultivators who died at his hands while rescuing Xin Ruyin. His killing intent surged.
"I see. But it’s just the two of you here. What if powerful figures from the Qi Family come? How can you stand a chance?" Han Li asked casually, showing no sign of alarm.
"Why would the Qi Family bother with an outsider opposing our Fu Family? Aren't the two of us enough here?" The young man said arrogantly upon hearing Han Li’s words.
"So, it’s just the two of you here," Han Li’s voice suddenly grew low.
"What do you mean by that?" The young man’s face flushed with anger, about to say something, but the elder sensed something wrong and quickly interrupted him.
