Chapter 331: The Order

After carefully putting away a few items, Han Li looked up at the colorful glow in the sky and then leapt toward a corner of the bamboo forest.

A moment later, Han Li pulled out a green formation flag stuck at the base of a giant bamboo stalk.

Immediately, the entire sky’s colorful glow suppression disappeared without a trace.

Han Li smiled slightly and turned to head toward another corner.

In no time, all the formation flags and formation arrays had been taken out of the bamboo forest by Han Li and carefully stored in his storage pouch.

Having witnessed the power of this newly improved “Inverted Five Elements Formation,” Han Li treasured it immensely.

When Han Li calmly returned to the original spot and wanted to use his artifact to open the area, he saw something on the ground—it was the corpse of the Yue Emperor, looking like rotten mud. It seemed that as the glow dissipated, the corpse had fallen from the sky.

Han Li frowned, sighed softly, then flicked his finger. A fist-sized fireball shot over and turned the Yue Emperor’s corpse into ashes.

This person had been quite remarkable, yet after death he was nothing but a pile of flying ashes. This made Han Li sigh deeply!

Next, Han Li tapped his storage pouch, and a golden light flew out, striking an empty patch of ground and creating a large pit.

Then Han Li gently swept his sleeve, and a soft breeze blew the ashes neatly into the pit.

Suddenly, a flash of white light appeared, and Han Li’s burial motion immediately stopped.

He was surprised and beckoned with one hand. A misty white brocade handkerchief floated up from the pit and landed in his palm.

“What is this...” Han Li’s eyes scanned it briefly, revealing a look of puzzlement.

This brocade handkerchief was slightly yellowed, clearly very old, and woven from unknown material. It emitted a faint phosphorescent glow all over. What made Han Li suspicious was that it was embroidered with a vague, unclear map.

Han Li’s curiosity was piqued. He examined the map carefully, flipping it over several times, but soon lost interest.

After a detailed look, he was certain it was definitely not the terrain of Yue Country. It must be a map of some unknown place. Moreover, the map was obviously incomplete—he didn’t know if it was half or only a fraction of the full map!

But since the map was just discovered from the ashes, it seemed the Yue Emperor had hidden it inside his body using some secret technique; otherwise, the beast puppets would have found it from the start.

This suggested the map was quite significant!

Han Li pondered this, then carefully stored the incomplete map inside the jade box containing his five elements pills.

Now was not the time to solve mysteries; he needed to hurry and find the others!

After all, with the Yue Emperor gone, dealing with the aftermath was truly headache-inducing!

When Han Li found Chen Qiaoqian and the others in front of the Cold Palace, another piece of bad news arrived.

In the secret chamber of the Black Death Cult leader inside the Cold Palace, they had found the body of “Wu Xuan,” who had recently died after his essence and blood were drained in a blood sacrifice.

Han Li was stunned at first but soon gave a bitter smile and said nothing.

Now, because of the Black Death Cult incident, so many foundation establishment stage cultivators from their sect had perished. When he returned, Li Huayuan probably wouldn’t give him a friendly look. After all, it was he who had caused the trouble!

Feeling helpless, Han Li decided to leave the aftermath to Chen Qiaoqian and Senior Sister Zhongwei to handle and found an excuse to return to the Qin Estate first.

What he never expected was that as soon as he returned, an unexpected person appeared before him.

...

“Greetings, Senior Uncle Han!” The middle-aged man in brocade robes bowed respectfully.

“Disciple Ma! Coming to see me so late, is there something important?” Han Li’s eyes flickered with surprise and suspicion.

Han Li had just rushed back from the Imperial City and didn’t expect this disciple responsible for communications in Yue Capital to be waiting in the courtyard for him.
