Chapter 327: Entering the Formation

“Get lost!” the Yue Emperor shouted in a sinister tone.

Then, a swirling blood aura rapidly circled the group of puppets. With a long howl, it chased after Han Li and the others, leaving no trace behind in the blink of an eye.

Moments later, the motionless puppets suddenly shattered into pieces, falling from the sky, all dismembered without a single one remaining intact.

Han Li, hovering above the grand formation he had set up, clearly sensed the situation through his spiritual projection. Although he felt some regret, he showed no hesitation and immediately signaled the others before plunging diagonally down into the small bamboo forest below.

As Han Li and the others rushed downward, the Yue Emperor, only slightly blocked by the puppets behind him, shot after them like a meteor. Naturally, he saw clearly Han Li’s escape into the bamboo forest, which left him both surprised and puzzled, yet secretly delighted.

Hovering above the bamboo forest, the Yue Emperor saw that Han Li and his group showed no sign of emerging, and with a sinister smile, he waved his hands. A fragment of the blood aura on his body forcibly separated and shot downwards.

With a soft “puchi” sound, the shard of blood aura flashed and darted into the bamboo forest. It grew rapidly in the wind, soon expanding tremendously to cover the entire sky above the forest, bathing everything below in an eerie red glow.

Seeing the silent invasion of the blood aura into the wild bamboo grove, the Yue Emperor revealed a smug expression. As long as his demonic protective light could trap the forest tightly, he could then activate another secret technique to dissolve everything inside without a trace. Since the enemy had entered a death trap, no one could blame him for being ruthless.

After a dazzling display with his hands, he formed a hand sign to trigger his secret technique.

The blood-red glow that had been lifted emitted a dazzling light and then sank, halting its ascent.

But the Yue Emperor was not done. He lightly traced a line across his body with his finger, sending another blood aura no smaller than the first shooting downwards, quickly merging with the aura below.

The entire blood-colored light veil grew even redder, with a faintly nauseating bloody stench seeping out, making people want to vomit.

Seeing this, the Yue Emperor’s face lit up with satisfaction. His fingers flicked rapidly, casting several spell formations that merged into the blood veil below.

The blood curtain began to surge and ripple, suddenly flowing outward to envelop the entire bamboo forest. The deep red blood light pressed down heavily, yet within it, the pale blue-white glow stubbornly resisted, seemingly on the verge of being overwhelmed.

With this scene, the Yue Emperor finally relaxed.

For him now, destroying Han Li and his group was only a matter of time; these few were trapped with no escape. What troubled him was how to handle the aftermath.

“Looks like the Emperor of Yue Country can no longer stand his ground. He’ll have to go into hiding, start anew under a different name,” he murmured regretfully.

As the Yue Emperor contemplated his retreat in the sky, Song Meng and the others inside the bamboo forest were trembling with dread.

They had heeded Han Li’s command to retreat closely behind to preserve their lives. Trusting Han Li’s strength, they had all followed his orders without hesitation. Yet no one expected to end up trapped in this mysterious bamboo grove, facing a desperate situation.

Although the forest seemed to be protected by a defensive formation, it was now completely sealed by the enemy’s blood aura. The formation was on the verge of collapse at any moment, threatening to shatter and doom them all. How could they not be filled with fear and anger?

“Junior Brother Han, is this the backup plan you left for us?” Song Meng muttered in disbelief.

“Yes. Is there a problem?” Han Li looked up at the scene above without turning his head, speaking calmly.
