Chapter 317: Four Symbols Formation

As night had just fallen, a group of uninvited guests flew over the pitch-black Imperial City. They were none other than Han Li and eight other cultivators from Yellow Maple Valley.

When their magical vessels reached the dark city walls, Liu Jing, who led them, glanced at this so-called Forbidden Zone. After a moment of hesitation, he waved his hand with great confidence.

“Move out!”

His voice was extremely resolute, showing no sign of hesitation.

He then charged ahead first.

Seeing this, the others naturally followed closely behind, pushing through without delay. Their fear of the Seven Sects’ prohibition had long been cast aside.

Han Li did not rush forward but deliberately lagged behind, flying at the tail end of the group.

This was not because Han Li had some other plan; rather, he was quietly sensing the “Inverted Great Five Elements Formation” that had been set up the previous night.

When they arrived several miles from the Imperial Palace, Han Li’s lips curled into a mysterious smile.

Good! The grand formation still remained intact. The spiritual energy markers he had secretly placed were not damaged in the slightest, which made him extremely pleased.

A moment later, the nine of them floated above the Imperial Palace, looking down upon everything within the palace’s inner court.

“Everyone listen up! This operation will go according to our prior plan, splitting into two groups. One group will rush to the current Emperor of Yue Country’s bedchamber and rescue him from the Black Death Cult’s grasp. Only by doing so can we prevent the enemy from resorting to desperation and using the Emperor as leverage against us. The other group will head directly to the Cold Palace where the Black Death Cult leader dwells, concentrate our forces, and first eliminate the four blood attendants. Then the two groups will gather together to deal with the Black Death Cult leader who is still secluded in cultivation.” Liu Jing solemnly reiterated the plan for the night, prompting everyone else to nod repeatedly in agreement.

The personnel had already been assigned. The two female cultivators, Chen Qiaoqian and Senior Sister Zhongwei, were tasked with rescuing the Emperor of Yue Country. Liu Jing led the rest, including Han Li, straight toward the Cold Palace guarded by the four blood attendants.

“Seventh Junior Sister, Junior Sister Chen, both of you be extra careful!” Liu Jing specially reminded before they parted.

The two women responded solemnly before veering off downward.

Shortly after, they disappeared silently into the darkness.

“If we encounter other cultivators later, do not hold back. Anyone who can move freely within this palace must be Black Death Cult members. Let’s strike first! This will also create opportunities for the two Junior Sisters.” After saying this coldly, Liu Jing immediately commanded his vessel to rush toward the Cold Palace Han Li had mentioned.

Han Li and the others followed closely behind.

Moments later, the seven of them descended fiercely from the sky, immediately detected by the Black Death Cult disciples guarding the Cold Palace’s perimeter.

Suddenly, piercing whistles rang out as various spells and magical artifacts erupted from hidden spots near the Cold Palace, striking at the group in a ferocious assault.

“Light as tiny as a grain of rice, yet dares to compete with the bright moon!”

Liu Jing raised a hand, releasing a shimmering Silkworm Cloth, which instantly transformed into a huge shield that blocked the attack in front of him, protecting not only himself but also Han Li and the others behind him. It was obvious he had great confidence in this artifact’s power.

Sure enough, as soon as the Silkworm Cloth spread out, those spells and artifacts slammed into it. But after emitting a dazzling white light, the cloth was completely unharmed and even reflected some of the spells back, causing chaos among the Black Death Cult disciples below as they were beaten into disarray.
