Chapter 277: Xin Ruyin

Han Li watched Qi Yunxiao disappear into the forest and smiled faintly.

Seeing him so flustered like this, although Han Li had little experience with romantic affairs, he could immediately tell that Qi Yunxiao’s relationship with this formation-savvy woman was far from ordinary friendship. It was likely a complicated love affair, otherwise he wouldn’t be this nervous.

The maidservant also hurried after them anxiously.

After waiting casually outside the forest for a while, Han Li saw Qi Yunxiao and the pretty maidservant emerge, accompanied by a blue-clothed woman, all walking out excitedly toward him.

Without hesitation, Han Li scrutinized the blue-clothed woman.

She was of average build, with a delicate nose and a pair of clear, bright eyes. When her gaze met Han Li’s, she offered a faint smile.

It seemed Qi Yunxiao had already informed her of Han Li’s identity.

To be honest, her facial features weren’t particularly striking. Compared to the pretty maidservant, she was somewhat less attractive.

But her elegant and composed demeanor, her grace in every gesture, coupled with those expressive black eyes that seemed to speak, more than made up for any lack in physical beauty. Anyone seeing her would not think her plain, but rather be struck by her stunning presence and would never mistake her for just another maidservant.

Yet Han Li felt a headache coming on after seeing such peerless grace.

He didn’t need to guess—the woman was definitely clever and exceptionally intelligent. Dealing with her would be extremely demanding. It wouldn’t be as easy as negotiating with Qi Yunxiao, where he had everything firmly under control.

“Thank you for coming to rescue me, Senior! I am Xin Ruyin, forever grateful!” The blue-clothed woman approached Han Li gracefully, performing a delicate bow before speaking openly. Her voice was crisp and melodious.

“Miss Xin, there’s no need for such formality. It was just a small favor! But we should leave quickly. These people seem to have some background, and if their elders are nearby, that could cause trouble.” Han Li waved his hand politely while subtly urging the group to set off.

Qi Yunxiao, standing nearby, nodded repeatedly in agreement, clearly worried.

“Yes, Ruyin! We should leave this place as soon as possible; it’s simply too dangerous here!”

Since first seeing Xin Ruyin, Qi Yunxiao's eyes hadn’t left her pure, jade-like face, and now he called her by a tender nickname. Han Li even felt a bit embarrassed listening to it!

Xin Ruyin’s cheeks flushed slightly, rosy spots blooming on either side of her face.

She glanced sheepishly at Qi Yunxiao beside her, hesitated a moment, then softly agreed with slightly parted red lips.

“Alright, let’s go then. But those corpses…” Xin Ruyin cast a glance at the bodies and seemed about to say more.

“That’s easy to deal with—burn them on the spot!” Han Li replied nonchalantly. Then, with a flick of his right hand, seven or eight fireballs the size of bowls shot out, instantly turning the corpses to ashes, leaving only storage bags scattered on the ground.

Han Li’s practiced and effortless way of disposing of the bodies made the woman’s expression shift slightly and a chill run through her heart.

But she wasn’t an ordinary weak girl; she quickly regained her composure and chatted casually with Qi Yunxiao.

“The items in these storage bags are of no use to me. Miss, if you don’t mind, please take them to avoid leaving any trace,” Han Li said kindly, turning to the pretty maidservant standing next to Xin Ruyin.

“Senior, you’re really giving them to me?” The maidservant was overjoyed and, unable to believe it, asked again.

When she saw Han Li smile faintly and nod, she immediately thanked him before eagerly running over to collect the storage bags. For her, this was definitely a windfall—the bags were filled with valuable items!

Xin Ruyin was momentarily taken aback by this scene but quickly returned to her usual calm demeanor. After exchanging polite words with Han Li, she boarded the small boat floating a short distance above the ground with Qi Yunxiao.
