Chapter 123: The Deal

“Topic? What topic? I’m here to ask for your final decision! Will you leave here to live in seclusion? Or should I strike and kill one of your major rivals?” Han Li withdrew his gaze from the woman in the yellow robe and spoke bluntly, his face stern.

Madam Yan frowned slightly upon hearing Han Li’s words and slowly said to him, “Young Master Han, don’t rush! After much thought yesterday, we sisters have decided to choose the second option. However, we hope to adjust the conditions a little.”

“I believe I already said it—I don’t want any bargaining from the madams. This matter is non-negotiable. Either you fully accept my terms, or you choose the second path.” Han Li’s expression darkened as he snapped.

“Master, what do you think of the appearance of our young ladies?” Madam Yan ignored Han Li’s displeasure and suddenly changed the subject, turning it toward the three Mo sisters.

“Divine beauty, naturally exquisite—that would be no exaggeration to praise the young ladies!” Han Li was momentarily stunned but then chuckled softly. He vaguely understood what Madam Yan was trying to do.

“Our request is not excessive. If you can annihilate the heads of the Five Colors Sect and Domineering Manor, not only will we help you detoxify the Warm Sun Jade, but we will also marry all three sisters to you as your wives and concubines. Didn’t you just keep staring at Fengwu? If you agree, she will become part of the Han family!” Madam Yan pointed to Mo Yuzhu and the others behind her and said earnestly.

“Fourth Madam!”

“Mother!”

Mo Yuzhu and Mo Caihuan’s expressions changed drastically, and they couldn’t help but call out. Clearly, they had not received any prior hint about this promise from Madam Yan, and her casual offer shocked them, leaving their faces pale.

Only Mo Fengwu, though somewhat pale, managed to maintain her composure.

No wonder they were so alarmed. Han Li’s unremarkable appearance was worlds apart from the ideal husband the two sisters had imagined. There was absolutely no resemblance. How could they possibly accept marrying Han Li?

“Silence! This matter has already been decided by your aunts and me. No second thoughts are allowed. Otherwise, you will be immediately expelled from the Mo Residence.” Madam Yan’s face darkened as she said coldly.

Her words stunned the three Mo sisters.

Mo Yuzhu bit her lip, her face ashen, while Mo Caihuan looked lost and helpless, staring at the second and fifth madams—who normally doted on her—with pleading eyes. Only Mo Fengwu was slightly better off, though her body trembled lightly as she leaned motionless against the wall.

“There’s no need to threaten the young ladies! I cannot agree to your terms. As I’ve said before, no matter the condition, I will not take unnecessary risks. I value my own life too much!” After a pause, Han Li answered firmly, completely rejecting Madam Yan’s proposal.

To say Han Li was unmoved by the exquisite Mo sisters would be a lie. But he had thought it through carefully. If he really killed the other two overlords of Lanzhou in one go, it would not escape the notice of those with keen eyes, and he would invite deadly trouble.

Just think about it: after the collapse of the Five Colors Sect and Domineering Manor, Madam Yan would surely lead the Thunder Flood Society to rise, becoming the biggest beneficiary.

Moreover, if a stranger suddenly appeared at the Mo Residence and married all three of the Mo family’s great beauties, wouldn't that clearly signal to others that he was the main culprit and killer?

If doing so stirred up mysterious immortal cultivator powers, this half-baked cultivator would have no good fate. Most likely, he would not keep his life. So what use were the Mo sisters’ charms then?

Hence, Han Li bitterly smiled inside and forcefully pushed aside the three vivacious beauties.

As for whether the Mo sisters liked him, Han Li didn’t care. Those beauties would eventually give him their hearts anyway. But now it was useless to say anything. The Mo sisters were a hot potato—something to be absolutely avoided! All he wanted was to quickly rid himself of the cold poison and leave this land of trouble. Whatever happened to the Mo Residence afterward was none of his concern.
