A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation

Chapter 147: Seriously Contemplating Whether to Use it as a Holy Grail 🤔

Rizel and the other two looked at a piece of paper with puzzled expressions.

“‘Those who have come from Astarnia and returned within ten days’.”

Their first quest after returning to the Capital City, they had come to the adventurers' guild to select it.

They were met with a mix of astonishment and warm, somewhat amused glances from those around them, but Rizel and the others just ignored it. Partly because they didn’t mind originally, but also because they had grown somewhat accustomed to the reactions.

The quest paper Rizel had found on the quest board was the one they were now holding.

“The client is the church.”

From the client to the quest content, it was an unusually unique request for adventurers, which naturally caught their attention.

“What does the church want us to do?”

“Faith.”

“Don’t get it.”

“Neither do I.”

Listening to the conversation exchanged around her, Rizel nodded in understanding.

She had thought this since arriving in this world: people here didn’t really pay much attention to faith. Unless they worked in a related profession, their awareness was probably limited to “pray if something happens.”

It was similar back in her original world, so Rizel hadn’t worried about it much. It was a little disappointing that there were almost no books on the subject, though.

“Nature worship is also the norm in this world, right?”

“Yeah. Isn’t it the same everywhere?”

“Anything else?”

“Never seen any.”

Judging from the way they spoke, it was probably the same in Rizel’s original world. Jill watched Rizel walk away from the quest board with Eleven, who peered over her shoulder at the quest paper with interest.

Their destination was the quest reception counter, meaning they had already decided to accept the quest.

“The Capital City… worships the earth, right?”

“Yeah, pretty common.”

“Astarnia’s is the stars.”

“That makes sense for a country with many sailors.”

Rizel and the others lined up not in the shortest queue, but at the counter where Stud was attending.

Surprisingly, quite a few adventurers lined up at Stud’s counter. Although it was basic to line up at the shortest queue, his precise and speedy work was highly valued in the bustling mornings at the guild.

“Does it vary by village?”

In her original world, faith changed depending on the location.

It could vary even village by village. Since people often worshipped familiar things, that was to be expected.

“Ah, not sure. The Demon Ore Nation, I think, worships rocks… or huge stones?”

“Depends on the place.”

So it was no different from her original world.

Rizel nodded again, and the thought of what exactly the quest entailed made her a little excited. The brief description gave no detailed clues.

“What about your leader’s place?”

“Hm.”

Asked, Rizel lifted her gaze from the quest paper.

“In our country, there were various faiths depending on the place.”

“So what’s the most famous?”

“Well… moon worship was the main one.”

“Oh.”

The two looked surprised, yet seemed to accept it. Rizel laughed softly and took a couple of steps forward in the queue.

The objects of nature worship were many: sun, moon, earth, mountains, wind, or thunder and so on. Perhaps because these were all indispensable, worshippers didn’t deny others’ faiths even if they differed.

“Are there festivals?”

“Yes. Once a year, on the night of the biggest full moon, there’s a festival.”

“Did you go, leader?”

“We had to attend the formal festival led by the priests, so…”

Rizel smiled wryly as Jill and the others gave her sympathetic looks. Nobles have it tough.

“Then you’re used to it.”

Jill reached out and snapped Rizel’s quest paper with a finger.

Under the explanation about Astarnia in the quest content, the words “help with the festival” were written.

After Stud handled the quest acceptance procedures, they headed to the church location explained to them. By the way, the paper knife Rizel had given was neatly left on Stud’s desk.
