Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

After lunch, Rizel’s attention was no longer on resting from the meal, but rather on books.
Squirming restlessly without settling on the lap, Eleven noticed her trying to get down and caught her.
“Leader, what’s wrong?”
“I want to go see the books.”
“Are you sure you don’t need to rest?”
“Yes.”
Looking up at him, Rizel nodded firmly. Having no experience with children, Eleven glanced at Jill to confirm if she was really okay. As expected, it was pointless.
Holding the restless body that kept trying to get down with one hand, Eleven gently stroked Rizel’s belly with the other. Should she rest? But since she wanted to go, maybe it was fine.
After pondering for a moment, Eleven shrugged and stood up. Since he was going to carry her anyway, whether resting or going out was the same.
“Eleven, shall we go?”
“Yes, yes, let’s go.”
“I’m off, Jill.”
Jill simply nodded in response to the farewell.
Watching the two leave, Jill sighed, thinking, “This guy still won’t put her down.”
Their destination was toward the sea. Eleven walked happily, cradling her small body.
Along the wide street leading to the sea, stalls and street vendors lined both sides, filled with lively voices. People kept passing by nonstop, and Rizel and Eleven were repeatedly double-taken, but they didn’t mind.
“Leader, do you want anything? I’ll buy it for you.”
“Hmm... nothing.”
Rizel glanced around restlessly and shook her head. It wasn’t out of hesitation. If she wanted something, she would have pointed at it honestly.
Whatever it was, no matter how expensive, it was easy to imagine Eleven would buy it without hesitation. He was clearly a man unsuited for raising children.
Assuming her mind was on books now and she wasn’t likely to want anything else, Eleven nodded and spotted a stone-built shop. It was the place where he had previously asked to process the orichalcum shark’s scales.
“Can we take a quick detour?”
“Okay.”
Some time had passed since he promised to deliver. Eleven wasn’t bothered by the delay, thinking it was lucky if it was done quickly, but he would be displeased if the materials he’d given were wasted.
Rizel, eager to read the book, nodded without hesitation. Eleven rubbed her head affectionately and stepped through the shop’s door. Inside, various weapons were displayed as in a normal weapon shop, but the difference was a proper workshop in the back.
Some normal weapon shops have facilities to straighten bent swords, but having a workshop capable of making weapons from scratch was rare. This place focused more on the workshop, where craftsmen made weapons as a hobby or experiment and sold them as a side business.
“Hey, aren’t you the guy who brought the shark scales? With a kid too, huh?”
The voice came from a man polishing a sword in a chair by the shop counter.
He looked more like a craftsman than a clerk. He glanced down at Rizel staring intently at the blade, then pinched her cheek while Eleven opened his mouth with a bored expression.
“Anyway, the knife isn’t done yet? It’s late.”
“Hey, you can’t just finish processing an unknown high-grade material quickly. But yeah, taking this long on one knife is a disgrace to the workshop!”
He laughed loudly, stood up, and leaned the sword against the desk.
“I wanted to ask about the shape too, why don’t you take a look?”
“You’ve got the shape sorted? Then what about the handle?”
Eleven moved toward the workshop when Rizel tapped his shoulder repeatedly, stopping him. Looking down, he saw her big eyes watching him intently.
“I’m waiting here.”
“Don’t you want to see the workshop? You’d like it, right?”
“I want to see the weapons.”
Indeed, there were many unique weapons full of the craftsmen’s creativity, not made for other shops. Maybe that caught her interest. So it’d be fine to check on the knife another time and just look at the weapons with Rizel today.
But Rizel shook her head, so Eleven figured she wanted him to go see and promised to wait. She was stubborn in strange ways. Nodding, Eleven gently set down her body with surprisingly tender hands.
